    He has a point ^

Though I think alot of the reasoning behind it is sythe doesn't want all the negative attention it would bring if stolen auths were constantly sold here.

A)If they're willing to go through all that trouble to get Auth code receipts, obviously nothing can be fool proof.

I already responded to his post. Here:

If an auth code gets banned for multiple users, it is extremely easy to get one reissued to the rightful owner.

RSBOTS.net actually sends you an e-mail with a new authcode everything an authcode gets banned for multiuse.

This is a stupid thread originating from a butthurt kid who tried to backseat mod and got corrected.

Say if I were to purchase an auth code and then it was somehow stolen from me by someone else. The other person gives the auth code away and it get's banned. The site that you bought the code from sends you an e-mail stating why the code was banned. In the e-mail there is also a link to go and report a auth code stolen. The site will simply make a new auth code and e-mail it back to you to use again. They don't insta-ban the auth code the first time it happens only after the second. Trust me it happened to me I left an auth code on my friends computer and went home and we were both running it at the same time. I'll try and dig up the e-mail that rsbots sent to me and edit it back into my response.

Please go through other post in the thread about things that have already been responded too before you bother making your opinion on the same subject.
As far as it not being insta-banned, im not quite sure. I just know that I read on their website that Auth can only be Re-Issued once in a purchases lifetime. Now whether or not thats counting stolen auths, or lost auths, I dont know.

Most keyloggers can get their copy and paste information too.

Also, there are stealers that can find and upload someone's data.db file (the file containing auths/account information that you put into the auths.)

    On topic;
Who the fuck cares? If you're stupid enough to get keylogged you deserve at the minimum the hassle of recovering your authcodes. It's not as if the codes are gone forever, you can just get it back in five minutes.

e: as far as I know, you can get them back upwards of five times before getting them banned permanently.
e2: I agree that if they become too popular you'll just get a bunch of shitheads who come here only for the auths. It happened at FJ, the majority community was a shitfest because of all the greedy little kids.

    IMO.

You have a fair point wanting a mod to verify it, it's a hassle for Mods but meh w/e

However I think, if you get keylogged, or your auth stolen. Then you deserve for it to be banned. Harsh as it is, without punishment one day it won't be an auth, it'll be a CC or Bank Account. The ramifications of that life changing.

When runescape was first made, there were none of these stupid precautionary measures.
No 2nd trade window, no stupid exclamation mark, GP numbers looked the same. And only idiots got scammed, and they learnt from there mistakes.
Now, these scammers are around in the form of luring. Only idiots fall for these, and they learn from there mistakes.

Scammers will always be around, idiots will always be around.
You will only learn from your mistakes, which is why the learning curve for idiots is steep.

    All I'm asking.

As for the user above you who edited his post concerning the Auth reissue policy, I'm not certain :S

Auth sales are banned because they're so easy to recover back. That's not a reason to ban giving them away though.

I've had Auths reissued more than once. This is a farce.

ETA: The e-mails state only that: "If this becomes excessive you will not recieve a new key."
