Donation Ranks

Just have the user be able to choose which format he wants to use? Some people may prefer the old look to the newer one, just have both of them available and make it so you can rotate between the two whenever you want.

I don't think it'd be great for everyone to revert to legacy ranks, rather a new rank be created for the new ranks. I like the idea of a competitions between GFX artists.

 

Seems most people would prefer a new set of ranks be made, I'm not so sure about have multiple ranks per donation level though.

I'd keep each of those requirements bar the vouches as if vouches are left out then the system can be automatic.

 

Some are alright, I just really hate the 5USD one.

Yeah that sounds cool. If you made it say that those who were here for 1-2 years and are semi active in posting a bit every now and then are eligible for the legacy ranks, it would be cooler. The legacy ranks do look a lot better.

I also think the idea for having a competition for an one/two additional ranks per tier would be nice.

If you were here when the legacy ranks were available, you should be eligible to them IMHO, as they look better. Either way, IDGAF as I get a custom lol.

 

I'd probably pay extra for the legacy.

I agree, I think the new ranks look terrible, especially those ugly whips up there on my rank lol.

However, I think that reverting back to the old ones would be a terrible idea as well, as those are sort of an 'exclusive' rank for those that donated way back then.

So, I think we go with the option of holding a competition for new ones.

I think the fact that the donor ranks revolve around RS is stupid in the first place. They should have an abstract design that doesn't apply to any one game, as Sythe, whilst still primarily visited by Runescape players, is still frequented by others, and the way forward for Sythe would be to embrace that. Heads, fyi, your signature reminds me of piles of dead bodies.

 

We should have Legacy v2 ranks; have the ranks we have now as 2012 legacy ranks, and bring out new ones for those who donated in 2013

 

I don't know about the higher ranks, but the 5$ one looks terrible, either make new ones or revert to the old ones, I don't care, really it's the only thing stopping me from donating...

 

In true honesty; legacy looks alot better but I believe new designs by gfx artists would be better; maybe all runescape related.
