Donation Moderator

Find someone that is more active, and has more time for donations then.

I like matthew and everything, but he is a college kid and works in an office..he barely has time for sythe. He is an alright guy to get ahold of, but you need someone that is on the site everyday or so.

TJ has done it before, and it worked out.
The donations could be used for a new host, which would be better than the current one. This is just a mere example.

He has done it before,but are you, a person who has never participated in the donation system or acceptance of donations, one to request that he should have this burden so that "no other mods have to deal with it"?

And Sythe downgraded servers. I believe he was paying 600/month, but now it's 300/month. Not quite positive.

You are one to call names and point fingers, but I would like to see you start a forum and make it hit the top 500 out of all forums out there. In fact, get a forum with 500 people in it.

It isn't a great solution, and it also isn't allowed. how does your suggesstion help? The way I see it, your magical solution is to get TJ to take donations.

 

Eh, if you get someone in their that has time to actually do the donations, then you will see a spike in donation's.

If you don't see how this would help, then you really don't have a brain or something.. Also, like I stated before, it doesn't necessarily have to be TJ, I just recommended him because he has been doing it before.

 

I think this would work out, I wanted to donate, but I can't now.

 

Since Sythe no longer allows donations, the moderator would have nothing to do and therefore will not be implemented.

Also, Sythe only trusts Matthew to accept donations.

Also, this is like saying Tech Support needs its own moderator

Sythe doesn't allow donations 'cause it was too much time consuming for something so simple. This could fix it. Sythe/Matthew wouldn't have to do this, meaning they wouldn't waste any time on it.

@OP. You're rude, aggressive, and a bit over the top. None of us want to see that. Donations aren't supposed to fund the site, the ads, and affiliations should be. Donations are a benefit for both members and owners alike, when they are chosen to be used, they can be used. There's no need for others to handle donations.

I Sell I, like you said you have your opinion but what your opinion entails does not meet two requirements:

1. Sythe wants Matthew to do it.

2. You THINK that Matthew is saying it's a waste of time for something simple, but he means that with the current methods he wastes so much time on msn to have people send cash by mail then the rate at which they come threw makes it pointless in the long run. Now your probably gonna say well TJ can take paypal, but they tried paypal and it didn't work so if you have suggestions on how paypal should be used and how it would be better this time, then do that. Of course if you can think of better, easier methods then again try that, don't suggest something that goes against not one but two rules.

Unb4nn3d and masterkiller know that if Sythe would not want to have anyone but Matt handle it then why would you ask for something that goes against it as your suggestion and get mad when this fact is brought up?

With that said,

I completely understand that you would just like to offer your opinion but getting mad when it just can not be does not fix it, if you wanna help think of something else.

I have already sent information to Matthew that may help him a bit with this problem and then again it may not as mine may be flawed in ways.

Anyway, this is my opinion and it may suck but it's what I have read and what I think so stop the flame fest.

I was at work and I got the chance to get on a computer during a break, I was inable to log in at the time but I could still view the forum, and was able to get on msn.

 

Ignoring the fact that you did receive replies from an ex mod, a global, and a sectional, most of the answers you've received are accurate.

I'm sure if Sythe saw an easy way of keeping donations open, he would. However, since it was at his request that TJ's paypal donation service be removed, your 'solution' seems unlikely. As has already been stated, Matthew (and perhaps Ryan) are the only ones Sythe would trust to run donations - not only for the sake of scams, but to keep reliable records of donations, manage the ranks, etc.
