Does Religion really cause wars?

Or you could say that it's just the people and their customs religion just being a scape goat for the way they were raised.

 

That shouldnt even be a question, my opinion, every war is caused by religion. Look right now.

 

American government does! No hate please, i don't hate americans but their government

 

But look at al qaeda, their belief in being radical muslims. They suicide for their god, for their leader.

 

I believe religion causes war because we can never come to a mutual agreement. Peoples' beliefs end up conflicting and we end up fighting for trivial reasons.

 

People use religion as an excuse to start a war. Its pretty dumb espeically the fact that religion is praying for your god and you should not make it as an excuse to start war

 

Sometimes yes, it does cause war because of the hate between each other.

 

Politics

 

Religion, goverment, politics are the route to all wars :-(

 

People cause wars then find scapegoats to take the blame.

 

War would still occur if religion was taken out of the equation, but that's not to say that religion isn't a contributing factor.

Religion isn't typically the only reason for war, but religion has been solely responsible for ACTS of war.

 

Religion itself does not cause war. The bunch of people in the religion is making as if that specific religion is leading it to war.

We call them fanatics. Every religion teaches peace, but a bunch of them doesn't take it seriously. Hence why there is wars between religion.

 

But these religions don't follow every literal detail/scripture in their respective holy book, and there are indeed ALOT of discriminate and indiscriminate violence, incest, and other sexual actions.

I do agree that in today's world, the non-zealots/extremists with no political agendas are indeed innocent; it's just the ones with political ties and high ranks in both state and religion that...take things into their own hands...
