Does Jagex flag accounts for RWT’ing?

Please let me know if I am posting in the wrong area of the forums and I apologize in advance if I am.

So this may be a bit of my conspiracy theorist coming out, but over a period of a year Buying 07 gold on my maxed main, going to the duel arena and staking I have grown suspicious of how my losing streak continues to rise. I am now at a 57 losing streak and lost 100’s of mils. I have all together quit staking because to me, it is not worth the risk when it seems like the odds are definitely not in my favor.

Not only mentioning my tremendous lack of “luck” at the sand casino, I have also noticed that while doing PVM, I have yet to ever receive any rare/valuable drops. This also goes for my lack of pet drops; having 99’s in farming, agility and mining and not receiving either pet. The only pet I have managed to get was the chaos elemental and that already has the most common drop rate of any pet so that hardly says anything for my RNG. I do understand that players can go WELL over the drop rate for anything, but I am just using it as evidenced that feeds into my suspicions.

It seems that Jagex is more inclined to ban the accounts tied to selling gold instead of those that buy it, seeing that they are usually only level 3’s and non-members. BUT take the account that merely wants to buy gold to feed there addiction with the game and buy better gear/supplies to level their stats.

Regardless, buyers and sellers still take part in RWT’ing and are equally ban-able.
But when you have the buyer (a committed player that spends monthly to maintain membership and most likely will continue to do so) and the seller (a level three that doesn’t pay a dime to the company and could give a damn if their account is banned) why would you get rid of the one that you make money from?


This is where my theory comes to flag the buyer so they are still able to play the game but not receive valuable drops OR be successful doubling their cash stack at the duel arena and potentially becoming a seller to also feed into the market all, while still giving a punishment for breaking the rules.

The only thing I could find about Jagex potentially flagging accounts is this video where it appears the person continually winning the stakes mentions about how the losing party is most likely flagged and will continue to stake him because the odds are mostly in his favor.


What is everyone’s thoughts on this? Do you RWT and have noticed that your luck at the Duel Arena is non existent?

 

I’ve gone on a 41 loss streak while staking but I’ve also gone on 30+ win streaks multiple times. It’s rng and I believe “shadow bans” are complete bullshit. Fishy started discussing “shadow bans” because if you didn’t notice he runs a gambling site for osrs so of course if he complains about shadow bans and also complains about duel arena tax it’s all a ploy to get people to go gamble on his website rather than on RuneScape since then he makes money off of making people suspicious/paranoid.

 

Do you realize the odds of losing 40+ times in a row though?

 

No different than the odds of winning 30+ in a row. Every stake is random, streak is irrelevant.

 

I don't believe Jagex flag RWT - It's simple if your caught then your banned, i do believe jagex even turn a blind eye to alot of gold BUYERS. (If they banned everyone they caught buying Gold i think they'd go bust lol).


Personally, buy big amounts less often.

Shadow banning = BS

 

I don’t believe Jagex flags rwt and gives them bad drops. They ban you if you’re caught but from what I’ve seen this is generally large transactions

 

57 losing streak... your account is definitely shadow banned

 

You can get flagged, but most likely its the mule accounts they flag and not the account that buys.

 

I doubt it, they ban who they dont like having GP, simple. If youre not banned directly after trading gold, usually you dont get banned.

 

my buddy literally dropped his entire ironmans bank(2.5b) and sold it because he was in a predicament irl, 1 year later not a bann or nothing and hes already rebuilt the account up over 4b

 

i think its all fallacy we make ourselves believe to give a reason to why our luck is so shit, and why we lose so many in a row...

 

I think shadow bans or the "variable" they can put on accounts are bullshit. Just learn Java script, its literally a nested if statement with a random number generator with parameters. Even if you were to collect enough data to do some really good Z scores between two accounts to figure out which account has better odds of winning you still have to remember that each roll/stake is its own independent event making the win or loss streak irrelevant. The video above the dude could be using bronze bolts against those rune dragon stone E bolts.

 

They definitely flag the mule accounts. They aren't really interested in the people that only buy Gp because 60% of the player base buys their GP as jagex has stated before.

 

Im pretty sure they dont flag at all, unless your selling 10b a day.. Because of the staking tax in the duel arena they have no reason whatsoever to ban RWTers because theyre basically the reason why so much gold is being removed from the game.. The majority of people who buys gold are doing it to go staking on a friday night to have some fun because its funnier than casino for some people

 

Holy shit OP, 57 straight losses? I think I've only managed 9 in a row in +5000 duels, but I decided to limit my losses after that. I use the Martingale Method, so I only walk in with enough to cover 4 straight L's now. If I deplete those funds I take a break.

I do think it's kind of odd I started to hit more losing streaks the longer I staked/the more duels I had, but also I'm somewhat superstitious. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Jagex added some kind of mechanic to discourage people from hanging out at the Sand Casino for extended periods of time.

I'm at more tha 12k duels. I am now at more than 205losses more than wins op get a new account before it reaches 10k

This theory sounds very far-fetched to me. If you stake on a max main you are destined to lose over the long run because of the staking tax. The only way you will make money in the long run at the duel arena is if you stake people with lower stats or if you somehow manage to make your opponent miss a hit/pid.

By the way, the video you mentioned is made by owners of a rs gambling site which are known to fake 100% of the video's where they claim to have huge banks or do huge stakes.
