Does Global Warming actually exist?

Probably goes against what I said earlier, but you might find this interesting:

30 years means absolutely nothing at all. That's why this whole issue is infuriating. We're all so stuck up that we think a 30 year "trend" coincides with geological time.

30 years is pretty fast compared to how long the earth has been around. Our lifetimes are nothing compared to the lifetime of this planet...30 years is like a month or 2 for the earth. Now, if you compare it that way, it's a pretty big deal.

30 years to the Earth is 4.76190476 × 10-13 percent (or 0.00000000000047619 %) of its whole existence.

To us, that's 1.12×10-5 seconds. In other words, 30 years is to the Earth's existence as is .000112 seconds to a 75 year old man. To a 16 year old kid, it's 2.40×10-6 seconds, or 0.0000024 seconds.

Ah yes - what I meant was the "common" definition of global warming: how humans are causing the world to warm up and how we have to do such and such to stop it.

Don't really see what you're saying. Elaborate? S:
The graph is just to delink a direct relationship between rising CO2 levels and global temperature

In the scope of anything at all, the graph shows absolutely nothing--neither a positive correlation nor a negative correlation.

Consider this. You shrink during the day, even when you're 13. Let's look at a tiny snapshot of a few minutes (more or less analogous to the 30 years in that graph, although the direct ratio is, as I demonstrated, a tiny fraction of a second) at noon. The entire graph would show you shrinking, although it's blatantly obvious that you are growing at the most rapid pace since you were a baby. Let's look at some minutes during the night: the graph will show you growing an alarming rate in which you'll end up being nine feet tall by adulthood.

Perhaps you're confused because most of my posts support your graph. However, I'm just pointing out that the graph shows literally nothing towards either argument. If it was valid proof, then I should sprint to Congress and proclaim that all of our young children are shrinking and we need to put massive amounts of growth hormone in the water supply. Or, I could sprint to Congress and make them put agents that stunt growth, because all of our doorways, ceilings, cars, are not built for 9 foot tall people.

Pretty much this.

To statistically represent the relationship between earth's temperature and amount of C02 in the atmosphere reliably we would need thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years worth of data.

We do have this amount of data, although the reliability of it is uncertain. Nonetheness, we've been able to extract air that is from milennia ago from polar ice caps. This data suggests that CO2 is more of the effect of global warming, not the cause.

Whether human impact is causing the earth to heat up (ie: greenhouse gases) and whether "global warming" is actually an issue we have to invest taxpayer's dollars in.

I wanted this before I posted to reference myself.

I do not believe there is global warming due to humans, but that the earth naturally has heating and cooling patterns in its lifetime. If you look at volcanoes, they have been here for 10,000 to 100,000 years and more. Volcanoes emit an estimated of 200 Million tons of carbon annually (2Trillion - 20Trillion tons of carbon - Multiply them). Nobody knows exactly how much CO2 Humans are even emitting into the world each year due to so many changing factors of the earth. This effect has little change on the earths temperature. Before you quote me and say "well now the earth is hotter". Your argument would be invalid, it's been warming up ever since the ice age, and if I remember correctly there were no people driving around in cars or working at factories.

I would like to point out that Global Warming is a Theory, meaning that there is no current proof to state if it is or not real. Even if a scientist claims he knows the truth about global warming (in any state) he must have an extreme amount of evidence to help back his claim.
