Does donor amount increase trust?

Would you trust a $200 donor more than a $50 donor? (Having same quantity/quality of vouches

 

Is this a trick question, or do you want us to choose the obvious answer to prove a point?

Trust is drawn from the smallest things and influence. This includes join dates, post count, user rank, user activity, and how much they've donated. Many users, including myself, propagate the idea that they shouldn't be seen as key indicators for trust because those same things are often manipulated by scammers.

All other variables the same, obviously I'd trust the $200 donor more.

 

I'd go for the 200$ donor one but there are quite a few 200$ that I don't trust at all. Mostly because they just came here to scam 600-700$ or something and leave with profit, sadly.

 

It's quite simple, if a donor wanted to scam, they would do it for 2x or 3x higher than the donation amount they offered. Assuming they can do multiple scams at once, you should not go for higher trades than his actual donation rank, unless he has vouches of the trade of double/triple of his rank

 

$200 because they statistically will have a higher smacquit price

 

Of course with equal quantity/quality of vouches the $200 donor would be more trustworthy even though donor rank is only one factor in assessing trustworthiness, I don't see what discussion there is to be had.
