Does anybody know the answer to this question??

Ok, so I got a $50 ebay giftcard from my friend. I was really happy, and went on the computer to buy some stuff from ebay. I made an account on ebay. But, then I found out that I had to have a paypal account just to use my allready paid for giftcard! I didnt really understand this, but rules are rules, i guess.... I am 16 and i dont have a credit card or a paypal account. I asked my father if i could use his paypal account, and he said 'no you cant use my credit card.' i told him i have an allready paid for giftcard and i just want to use that. He told me I dont need his paypal account to use my giftcard if it is allready paid for (because paypal is for buying things, not using giftcards...). But, im pretty sure I do. I told my sister about all this, and she told me to go ahead and use his account without his permission, because he wont find out since I'm not actually charging on his card or using his money to buy anything. I told her I didnt want to get into a trouble, or even worse gets the cops called on me for fraud or something. she said then, to make a paypal account and use mom's credit card and my personal email and my info. Then, just not spend money on mom's card, and she'll never know. Because her card is not registered on paypal yet. She said to buy only with what i had on the card, so therefore im not spending any money that belongs to mom, so the bank and credit card company wont notify her of anything. and she wont get a bill. Or any info. I've never used ebay before, and i dont want to get into any legal trouble. but, if i can just spend my card using an account on paypal, and nobody will know, i guess im ok with that. Cause its my money.[sometimes i see people on Sythe who are under 18 saying they used their parents paypal account with giftcards or to recieve money, and they never found out.. so i dont know?] Or is there a better, simpler way of using my giftcard? Can somebody who has used ebay and or paypal or knows about this stuff please give me some advice? Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Im just not sure what is the best way to go. As, the store would not refund the giftcard.

You could mail it to somebody for paypal cash, but they would most likely want the card first to make sure the money's actually on it before paying you.

 

You can make a paypal account with your bank card assuming it's debit approved.

 

Or you could just sell it on Sythe lol.
