• Syria and Russia have announced now wanting peace with the US
• Israel's Prime Minister announced that they want to repair the damaged relationship between them and the US
• DOW closed yesterday at an all time high
• Canada/Mexico announced that they are willing to renegotiate NAFTA with the US

For every extremist harassing Mexicans/Muslims that we hear about in the media there's a group of anti-Trump people beating up a Trump supporter or mother kicking her elementary school kid out of the house for celebrating a Trump presidency.

So, excluding the extremist minority of people committing horrible hate crimes (allegedly, don't take everything you see on Facebook as fact) what's with all the outrage?

People are acting like Trump is going to put Mexicans, Muslims, and the LGBTQ community in death camps.

What they don't realize is that even on the off-chance Trump does want to do horrible things to these people we would never let that happen. We're all in this together. We elected the lesser of two evils but hr doesn't now have free reign of the country and get to do whatever he wants.

The same people that were talking about how people need to "come together" to keep Trump out of office are now willing to divide the nation now that coming together doesn't serve their political agenda and my question is WHY? Not everyone that wanted Hillary to lose agrees with 100% of what Trump says. Let's work together.

I didn't want Trump to win, but there's no point protesting it. The people voted and he won fairly. Trump is a businessman not a role model. A lot of things Trump has said aren't right, but right and wrong didn't change when he was elected; people need to use their own discretion and parents be the role models to their children.

 

People are idiots. Even Canadians are protesting it lol. There is a "Rally Against Trump" event on facebook for the 19th that already has over 1300 marked as going...

 

LOL what the hell are they hoping to accomplish by doing that? I believe people sometimes use protesting as a way of venting, and that is their right. I also have the right to say they're fucking dumb for doing so in certain situations lol.

What I don't get is how 99% of Canadians are against Trump yet almost 50% are for him in America (where it matters). We clearly get different media. Pretty much all we get and from large news sources like Toronto Sun is just story after story bashing Trump. People are too ignorant to look past media reports.

 

It's the same here. Most if not all of the sexual assault allegations against him have been disproven, while none have been proven. 3 of the alleged victims have come out and said that what the news stations reported was completely different from the story they gave them.Bur that doesn't make the news, only the false allegations do

 

A majority of the push back you're seeing against trump is due to an emotional response - not in relations to his policies.

As for his actual policies, I would expect Trump to moderate significantly in his transition to presidency. Look at his recent statements on Obamacare (shifted from full removal to liking full pieces of the legislation and willing to keep them in place).

I don't think the reaction is warranted and I am interested to see how Trump behaves in the coming months/years.

I know that this thread makes me look like a Trump supporter; I'm far from that. But he was 100% the best option we had. People are too focused on what big meanie poophead Donald Trump said or did years ago, or what his supporters are doing, that they don't listen to what the alternative was going to do. She told us multiple times she planned on going to war with Russia. Trump wants to renegotiate NAFTA in order to stimulate the American economy and to bring industrial jobs back to the States instead of NAFTA allowing companies to employ cheap labour in Mexico.
