Do you think OldSchRunescape will grow?

Do you think that slight increase will remain for a long period of time? Or just a small spike?

 

I think the game will stay at where it is currently at, with maybe some slight growth if there are any major future updates such as GWD.

 

That's a really hard one to come to a conclusion to.
I imagine it might grow a little, for the people that quit EOC and come back (Like myself)
But most people that are new to runescape in general would probably look at OSRS and think it looks horrible. Lol

 

No way, the only way now is downhill.

 

I have a feeling it will grow!!!! It has so many more possibilities than RS3 in updates and changes. Oldschool is going to have various changes that are completely different from what the game originally took. Weapons we have never seen and other various things that will add to the game. A small issue is the development team is small and so these changes and this journey will be slow. However, this allows non no lifers and such to really be able to delve into the content and enjoy it.

 

New updates suck, I don't believe that the community will keep things balanced for PKing, they will screw up at some point (like they already did by bringing GWD back without even the original AGS nerf because all PVMers simply want OP weapons as they're not affected by the down sides like getting rushed, 1-itemed). They're still better than Jagex though.

There's just too many people who started playing in 2010 and want to turn this game to shit again. The day summoning or overloads or other overpowered weapons that take you two months of nolifing to get will come out I'll quit.

 

Balanced PKING sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

If more good updates come out i think it will last.

 

I have a lot of confidence in the 07 development team

 

The 07 team is certainly better than the RS3 team, which I find funny because they're probably a twentieth of the size..

I think God Wars will bring a decent activity increase, but I'm not sure if it'll stick.

It will grow!!! It will just grow slowly!!!! There is no real advertising for it and the updates are slow because of the size of the development team. It will definitely grow just slower

 

I think pvp worlds will bring back much of the pking community.

 

It will not grow. It will never surpass the initial release day numbers it had. Regardless of updates, and changes, it will never actually grow.

 

I think Jagex has the right idea with the polls and what not buut honestly, I think it'll eventually phase out. It's already on the decline

I too think OSRS is down to the hardcore players at present, and despite the spike we will see after GWD, it will resume an average population of 7 to 12 thousand. I think what made OSRS special was the combination of noobs, casuals, wierdos, and hardcore players, and without the former groups, it isnt nearly as fun.

Should it go F2P, I think we can expect an average population stabilizing at 15-20 thousand players.

 

See with all this EOC shit on rs3, it made me quit RS3 because I couldn't do shit with combat so I play 07 because it's not eoc.. osrs is basically for the people who hate eoc but still want to play runescape. 07 really wasn't a good year but it'll have to do. Jagex WILL add on alot because of the polls of what people want.. I forsee dragon claws/wgs quest series and maybe some other big ticket items being re released

 

Speak for yourself, new-ager. D claws will have no part in OSRS, I guarantee that. I hate eoc, but that is far from the sole reason I play OSRS. 07 was the best year imho.
