Do you think Jagex will bring back old graphics?

the old graphics are way better brings back old memories of the wildy, the TRUE runescape, trying to make it like wow now with summoning and all this other bullshit thats coming out.

 

Nope. There's a picture at the moment floating around the internet that has Mod Mark stating he has no intentions of rolling back the graphics.

I've played since 2005. I know how old graphics are, I've lured tons of times, I've experienced much more than you have whether you've played longer or less. Old Graphics suck dick now that I compare it to todays graphics.

 

Though I really miss the old graphics, what with the nostalgia it brings, but it is a lot better now than it was back then.

The shitty melee sound effects (guy saying "oh" and "ah") need to be gone. God damn those are so annoying.

 

Is this really a question lol? Obviously Jagex isn't gonna go back on all their hard work and just revert to outdated graphics. Plus, there's many people that like the new graphics, myself included. If you want old graphics go play on an old private server...

 

I don't think they would waste their time downgrading the current graphics after all the time they put in just for the purpose of nostalgia.

 

Mod Mark has confirmed that this will NOT happen.

 

IMO the current graphics are horrible.

 

I would be happy with the new graphic but layed out how it used to if you get me? like having the smiley's for your friends list, and having the flames on the log in page :/

That's quite bold of you to say considering you have no knowledge of matter, have you ran a poll of some sort to determine those statistics?

I also preferred the old graphics, the old HP bar was better, the interface should also be returned, we should have the option to change the UIs ourself similar to WoW, where you're able to change your UI.

It's one thing to bring back an old game favorite but not old graphics. Simply because the new graphics, even at a low setting, make the game look better for the majority.

I see alot of stupid people posting on this thread. Didn't every one say that Jagex would never bring the old wild back or free trade back? And now they are. So don't say they'll never bring back the old graphics u fuck tards. The old rs graphics beat todays rs graphics but 100%. The graphics now is ugly and looks fucking gross. The old graphics were much clearer, simple, and just funner. I never understand why they couldn't just let us choose to play in the old graphics after the 2008 graphic update. I say they will bring it back some day.

 

You can set your graphics to MIN so they're exactly like old

 

The updated graphics are great.

However, I wish they gave us the option to use the crappy graphics. I acutally prefer them.

 

I saw a jmod answering this somewhere on the forums, and the answer was ofcourse no.

 

Been playing since 2002 and I have to say the old graphics were terrible. This is one of those things where nostalgia can't win. Just because you had fun when the graphics were bad doesn't mean that they should come back. No one who matters quit because they upgraded the graphics. Seriously..
