People work through school to rake in higher wages. Staff and highly trusted market users work through the ranks to do the same. If you want to be able to charge premium prices, then get yourself some trust and renown, just like the rest of the market giants had to do.

Once you've earned your trust across the forums, do whatever you want with it. It's not unfair by any means.

Mfw people still buy runescape accounts.

It does not matter what your status is on any forum, you should be allowed to set your own prices at any amount.

not called a free market for nothing, you can ask what ever you, and in retrospect if a user is more trusted etc people wont mind spending an extra penny to insure they don't get scammed.

You are entailed to your opinion however I am confused to why you would rather pay $50 dollars than $20. But not $375 dollars compared to $150. Your logic seems flawed unless you read into it. I am going assuming that you mean that you would rather pay a little more money to ensure you get the product/outcome you want.

However, you want to do this by not spend large amounts of money for it. In life you get exactly what you pay for. The staff or highly trusted users aren't forcing you to use them. You are free to use the cheapest person you can find just know their are many risked involved with non trusted user. Most trusted users charge more to make up for the time they spend dealing with un trusted users. Also their accounts tend to be more secured and transactions tend to be faster. Their time is worth money, so they charge accordingly. I am pretty sure if you were in their position you would do the same thing because that is called business.

I know you said it seems abusive but truth is Sythe.org doesn't force you to trade with only trusted people. The idea is anyone can build up their reputation and then once they are trusted they can change rates. It's pretty much the open market concept here. Therefore, I don't think it's unfair because anyone can actually raise their rates not just staff or highly trusted users.

You can be "fair" and remember there's always competition. If you have good prices, of course people will buy

They can scam if they want at any point, so why pay higher VS someone who has the same amount of feedback, if not more?

Because they've proven they're above the temptation to scam... Unlike most

Not to mention, most market giants make way more money from their legit trades than they would make from any one scam.

People will pay premium prices for secure accounts; it's the way business works. Secure accounts happen to come from trusted members, it isn't "exploiting trust."

As a buyer, you're in no position to say what an account is and isn't worth, anyway. If you don't like it, move along, because someone else will certainly purchase it.

    Exploiting implies it's unfair.

Or they could buy it with a free highly trusted middleman. I do think some of these prices are ridiculous most notably that Bond shop charging 1.6M 07 per bond when you can get bonds easy for under 1M just by transferring 07-->EOC or buy a bond from a trusted seller at 1.2mish.

If a man in an alleyway approached you with a knife saying he'd cut your hair for free, would you take him up on the offer or go to a barbers?

In my opinion, if we donate hard earned money or earn a high trust rating, it is beneficial for us, but users as well since gold prices are ultimately cheaper than websites...
