Who reads books? I'm curious as to how many people on sythe read! If you do, what's your favourite book/genre?

I don't read books 'cause they take too much time. I only read manga sometimes, but that's it.

 

Hmm, I don't really find that reading books takes too long, I normally read 800-1000 page books and don't find it uses up too much time, just like 30 mins to an hour per day later on in the day more on weekends

I'll only read when theres a specific book/series I want to read.
Eg. I wanted to read 3 of Dan Browns books, and I read them in 2 days.

However after that I probably didn't touch a book for months.

 

Yes, but how many days does it take to finish one book? If you read like 50 pages a day, it'll take 16-20 days.

 

I love reading. This isn't directly related to the question, but I read the news all the time. I enjoy being up to date with the world.

However, I love reading books too. I typically read military history (both narratives and straight history). True crime is also interesting to read as an attempt to get inside the head of a person.

A book I could recommend if you need to read a book related to economics is Confessions of an Economic Hitman, it's an amazing read.

I used to read a lot 4-5 years ago (at least an hour a night). Sort of stopped in the recent years. I'll pick up a book from time to time, but I mainly prefer to listen to audio books now.

 

Disregarding the Bible I haven't read a book since I was 9 or 10... Untill this week, I found a book during study period on "100 great leaders".

 

im in university so the only books i am currently reading are psychology texts

 

Nope. The only books i ever read voluntarely were the Harry Potter ones and that's about 5y ago.

 

That must be some slow reading. How many words do you average per minute?

I loved that book, great read though some of the things seem a bit dubious.

I used to read very avidly, at least an hour daily and would read anything from appliance manuals, to novels and text books. I've drastically stopped reading and only read school-related books but I plan on restarting this wonderful habit. I read the news almost daily though and quite a lot of it.

 

only have to read in an english class :/.. pritty much it, im to impatient for them

 

Reading is very useful. I suggest that you read and finish atleast 1 book per month. Especially if you are still in school. It greatly increases your vocabulary.

Started an obsession with Dan Brown last month.
