Do you miss highschool?

Highschool was meh. College is a lot better, and not because of partying. You get awesome hours, not some 7-3 waste of time. Being 18 and in my second year of Uni, I can easily say college is better than highschool.

 

Yeah unfortunately the great majority of my local friends from high school have moved on with their lives and forgot about me after I got sick. So basically I don't have really any local friends anymore, sans my 3 best friends.

I go to NYC all the time, I have plenty of friends there though

 

I don't know. Not really. I sure don't miss school itself, class was long, too easy and boring. I don't think I had a single class that I wasn't counting the minutes till it was over. I sure never woke up on a school morning and thought, "Wow, I'm sure glad I'm going to school today!". But shit, if someone gave me the opportunity to go back in time and relive senior year, I'd probably do it. Like already said multiple times in this thread, I miss the easy, stress free lifestyle of having next to zero responsibility, the hanging out with your friends everyday and your biggest worries being stuff like: "man do I have enough money for beer this weekend?", "does she wanna fuck or what's with the winky face text message?", "oh I got fired from my job? lol ok"

 

Sums it up pretty well for me as well, the no-responsibilities lifestyle was what I miss, as well as the environment (I went to a very small highschool with 400 people, so everyone knew everyone and a lot of community stuff happened). But the class and school itself don't really miss, I much prefer the style of college courses. The good does outweigh the bad and yea I'd also relive senior year if I had a chance to.

 

Every time I think of my high school years, I just want to go back. I miss the school, my teachers, my friends, my extracurriculars, the sports, and the classes. I also miss being able to see my family and dog every day, and I miss the town I grew up in. While I know there had to be times that I felt down, looking back on that time, I only remember being happy.

Don't get me wrong, I love college and all the freedom, intellectual challenges, and new friends that come with it, but I'm sad that I'll never be able to relive the great experience I had in high school. But that's life I guess; it's full of different experiences and you have to learn to love each and every one of them before they're gone for good. Sadly, we can't freeze time so we have no choice but to accept that things will never stay the way it was.

 

Thank God I still hang out with them. Half of my best buds study in the same university I study in as well.

 

I'm currently in my senior year, and I don't think I'll miss it aside from my friends and the soccer varsity team. Other than that, I'm looking forward to college.

 

You will, trust me. Once University hits, real life occurs.

I miss less responsibility and getting to see my friends every day. I had a 4.7/5.2 weighted GPA when I graduated (4th in my class). Then went to a top engineering university and shit the bed and barely passed any classes. Life gets way harder after high school

 

Going to be honest, I don't miss it one bit, glad I got it all over with to be honest.

 

I've been in uni for 2 years and I still think its better than highschool.

 

I'm also a senior too, it sucks that a lot of the cool people I met i'm most likely never gonna see them again :\
