    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

How can we take serious answers from a pot head.
What did muslim do to you for you beign so ignorant. Don't follow the media , follow what you see & are an eye witness.

There is NEVER starvation in fasting.

Starvation ; People having hunger like in Africa or something.
Fasting ; Skipping your breakfast & dinner.

Now pls Mr.Louis shut up because what you are doing is off the topic and against the rule?

The Question is are you fasting? Yes/No simple as that.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

Yes, I celebrate Ramadan, or at least I try to. It's been 4 days already, and the first and second day I didn't fast. The 3rd and today, I couldn't help myself and I ate at around 4:30 pm.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

    1. You're thinking about Eid, the 3 days after Ramadan where we celebrate and visit other Muslims' houses.

    2. You're technically not starving yourself; you're just not eating when the sun is up. You still can eat before 6:30 am, and stock up after 8:30 pm.

    3. Again, it's not technically starving yourself.

Pot makes me lesser then you?
I'm simply asking as an outsider to better understand what ramadan is about and why you choose to do it.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

Ramadan is basically a time where people get closer to Allah. People are expected to read from the Quran and basically get more of the Islamic faith in them.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

To add to that, it is also about knowing what it is like to lack the basic of survival. It is the month where we help the less fortunates.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

Alot of my friends are doing this and I respect it but I want to know why?

Seems to me that the point of this starving is to feel like you have accomplished something when in fact you have not. Do you actually feel any better because you have starved yourself? I don't think so, I don't see how you can but if I were in your position I'd feel like I have overcame and accomplished something but was there really anything to accomplish? what is the thing you have accomplished exactly?

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

I recently went to hookah at a predominantly arabic neighborhood, all the restaurants were empty since everyone was fasting. As for me, I do not celebrate Ramadan, but you gotta keep an open mind to things. Personally, I couldn't stand not being able to eat and such for long periods of time :)

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

The point of Ramadan is to see what it's like to lack the basics in life. Also, the point of Ramadan is not to simply empathize with the less fortunate, but also help them. Towards the end of the month of Ramadan, every muslim that can afford food/shelter must make a donation of AT LEAST $8 for every family member. This money goes to the less fortunate people.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

That's what I thought originally but it's been explained now and it sounds far more tolerable then I imagined.
Hateful? Sorry if that's the way you took it.
    And no it doesn't.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

Trust me it does. I don't know how you even got the so called mod title when you start a flame war. Let alone not even keep the flame away.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

I do celebrate Ramadan. It's a month of fasting in which you devote your time to praying to the 1 god Allah. You also have to go from sunrise to sunset without eating/drinking anything. At sunset there is a meal called Iftar in which everyone gathers to feast.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

You need to understand that the whole point is to feel how poor people are feeling, it's the only way you can understand.

It supports the fact that islam is more of a religion of embrace.

But there is some parts where the religon has violence.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

The so-called Muslims who associate themselves with violence aren't Muslims.

    Do you celebrate Ramadan?

I didn't intentionally start a flame war, people embraced the post as an ignition though, nothing I can do about that.

ANYWAY thank you all for teaching me about Ramadan, I had it made out wrong.
