Do We Really Need a Spam Forum?

I was just wondering what the purpose of the spam fourm is? Spam/Trolling has virtually no point at all and honestly imo, it looks unprofessional that we have a place for such a thing. I don't think having such a place decreases spam through out the fourm, if anything it's just increasing people trying to be idoits or be funny or whatever in that sub-fourm. Of course we should have a place to talk about whatever without worrying about the rules or being off-topic but don't we already have an off-topic sub-fourm? I just think it should be removed, after all members are complaining about the size of the fourm anyways.

 

Is this a troll? Spam Forum is a place you can chill out and not worry about rules too much.

 

Spam forum is similar to the community general area in that it is just a place to talk about anything. The key difference is that the rules don't apply all that much in the SF, and you're able to lay back and just talk without much of a fear of consequences. There's more humour in that section than the rest of Sythe put together.

 

The Spam Forum draws traffic to the site and keeps the community active. That's the only reasons it's there.

 

Spam forum is fine and I and a lot of other users enjoy it for useless shit and trolling/fun posting. The spam in other sections of the forum is dealt with rapidly because the users spamming get reported and receive infractions.

It's a huge part of the site.

Theres a small group of people who do nothing but use the spam forum, some of them are donators. Regardless it draws traffic and serves a strange but necessary purpose. That said, dont go there.

 

Of course we need the spam forum. The fact that it has no post counts means people are free to joke around and make each other laugh without mods getting their panties in a bunch about people spamming.

Oh yes we need it. The fact that it has trolls and stupid memes might be a way for users to vent.

Personally, I like it because I don't have to worry about breaking any rules, really.
