Do inactive accounts get deleted?

I used to play WoW like 2, maybe 3 years ago, but I didn't really understand the game. I wanted to give it another shot, because a couple of my friends started playing.

I tried logging into my account, I only used 1 email and 1 password at the time, couldn't log in. Tried the forgot password, said email wasn't in the database or w/e. Which brings me to my question in the title.

I had my game auth thingy on that account, and don't want to have to buy it again because I lost it.

Anything I can do?

 

WoW does not delete accounts. Call them, or simply recover the account.

 

I don't know if this is the problem, but wow requires that your password have numbers in it, if the password you used at the time didn't have numbers maybe you added a few to the end? I've run into problems like this before were a damn site requires numbers, and my default "i don't give a fuck" password doesn't have numbers .

 

Since you havnt played in years, your account probably isnt merged to battle.net

make sure you are recovering on the worldofwarcraft site, adn not on the battle.net site.

and NO blizzard wont delete your account.

 

I know that the password has to have numbers, the password I used had a 3 in it.

I go to www.worldofwarcraft.com>Account>Manage Account> Then it says to enter the Battle.net email(Didn't have one). Am I going to the wrong place?

 

Since your account is unmerged / not a battle.net account your login name isn't an email address, it's a username.

To merge it with a battle.net account, create a new battle.net account and on the right side under the account summary tabard there will be a link to merge your world of warcraft account with battle.net

Is yoru account merged with a battle.net account? You have to do that nowdays.
