Do dreams actually mean something?

You don't have to be a scientist to know that you can't do anything with this information. Especially if remembrance is only triggered by a specific event. Let's say there is a possibility that we can tell the future, how would we be able to identify a significant dream from a non significant one? We can't. Us humans have a lot of useless body parts, dreams should be categorized as such.

 

Because people are different and so are their minds. Imho some dreams mean something, others don't. But it's related with what you were thinking of that night prior to sleeping. That's my opinion.

 

I believe that some dreams have meaning. For example my mother had 2 premonitions and they both saved our lives, so i believe some of them really do have meaning.

1 night before our cruise ship trip my mother saw a dream where the ship was sinking.
And when we were supposed to go there, mom didn't want to go anymore because of the dream, so we didn't go there even though we already paid for it.
Next morning we woke up at home and saw on the news how the cruise ship had sunken

 

I think it's probably more likely that your mother was angsty about getting on the ship in the first place. An example that comes to mind would be people who are afraid of flying not getting on a plane that later crashes. While it might seem too far out there to simply be coincidence, essentially it's just confirmation bias.

Anecdotal evidence is better than no evidence, but there are still more reasonable conclusions that could be made than your mother having premonitions.

 

Yes it's possible. it's just weird how many different things she has actually predicted.Almost creepy

well people in ur dream have to be ppl uve seen before, so dreams that have people in it may be because of a significance that occurred? Like example for someone you like, she/he might appear in your dream more often

lots of people think different things that that could possibly mean. dejavu is the weirdest when it happens to me

 

This might sound crazy to you but ive actually had dreams where I guess you could say I predicted the future, people who I have never seen before appears in my dream and a year later you see them and you're like "wow already experienced this" has happend to me a few times now, its just too weird cant explain it

 

Majority of my dreams are so weird and random, can't even explain them. I do however tend to dream about people that I subconsciously miss being around. I don't think about them on a regular basis but they appear in my dreams in really strange settings.

 

Dreams are part of your subconscious. For example, most nightmares happen because YOU avoid them during the day, but when your system shuts down to sleep, your subconscious comes to play and you cant really control it, hence the nightmares about your fears and preocupations.
