Do Black Marks ever go away?

I think some can. None of mine have and i've had some from 2005

Nope, Blackmarks do not ever go away unless you get lucky and pass jagex's bot that accepts or declines the offence.

 

do you have a better chance of them accepting if you are a member.

 

No at least not if you get banned for botting.

Perm Mutes can go away, don't know about black marks. My RL friend has 33/10 black marks and is unbanned atm lol.

 

my friend had 9.8 black marks and now he has only 5.6 on the same account

 

only if you didn't do it, if you did then your basically stuck with them for ever and ever amen.

Nope black marks are perm, unless you succeed on a appeal.

 

They never go away unless you suceed with an appeal.

 

Ok thanks for the confirmation everyone. Somebody told me after a while they just go away. (Like a year)

 

Actually it's been confirmed by Jagex that they do go away but only after a long time.

 

And just how long is that? (1 year, 2 years)
