Can we get a Section Cleaning for this Section @ Staff

Suggestions

7 pages of suggestions? I haven't seen it this backed up since probably 2014.

This is getting beyond a little excessive.

That is literally between 100-200 suggestions, THAT IS A TON! How can there be so many undealt with? I cant even imagine how the back 100 are suppose even get looked at/processed/feedback.

Could some of the staff team get together and just go through and deal with these, if it gets much farther back its not even going to be realistic to do so.

Sure - I'm still new to staff so I'll look into what the process is for officially denying a suggestion. I'll get on this right now. Thanks for bringing this to our attention dog

There is no process. I tried to make one back in like 2010 and it never happened.

Thoughts on making an official thread to ask for people to create a suggestion process for approving/denying suggestions then having the top 3 processes/systems voted on in a staff poll?

Clearly some sort of system needs created, 150 suggestions is excessive, I don't even know how many days if not weeks that would take to properly review/deny/accept them all, some of them have pages of feedback 20 deep which suggests it would take an INSANELY long time to get through the suggestions already in the section, let alone the new ones.

It's also damaging when important suggestions get put 4 pages back and nobody sees them for 6 months, there are literally suggestions from March and farther back and its October practically.

 

If you didn't make a suggestion every day, maybe staff could keep up...

 

I do agree with you Bus that 7 pages of suggestions is pretty excessive; possibly they could merge all a user's suggestions into one thread to help keep the pages down?

 

Took out 14 of them I'll keep plugging away...

Don't burn urself out on them though lol, that's why I tagged the entire team so u guys could hopefully split them and do like 5-10 each.

You're just denying everything... Even ones that are good points that are still being discussed.

 

6 months with no comments is not being discussed.

That shows that the community doesn't care enough to keep them active, thus denied.

People can copy+paste them and resuggest them if needed.

 

I've been trying to clear some out but I can't do them all. Will try to do some more in a bit.

 

@Cas used to be a boss with these and I would ask him from time to time to slay the section.

Just before his resignation, I had The DO NOT SUGGEST list. looked over and adjusted by @Cas and a few others.

Some have sat around now for a while without any comments, but I'm guessing they're likely to be denied.

 

85 left or so but yeah, if each staff could do 1-2 a day or knockout 5-10 each that'd take care of the problem in a day or 2.

That'd at least get us down to 1-2 pages.

Lil bit pushy aren't you. And no just because certain suggestions aren't being discussed doesn't mean they're not wanted and should be auto denied.

Staff go through them, see the discussion, check if it needs necessary updated discussion based on xen or something else..bump it up...check if it's possible and get approved... if not then denied.

Multiple threads are bumped every now and then when circumstances on site change and it can effect the suggestion or can be used now.. so I don't know why you're assuming the community don't care about the older suggestions and they should then be denied as a result.

I'd prefer if staff actually go through them, rather than just denying because they're old. Sometimes individual staff differ in opinion and some staff could accept some and others deny.

 

My suggestions megathread in the SL should still have a few threads in it that need working on by either normal admins or upper admins

I agree. @FireZ is straight up denying all of them when they could be discussed. Some are still very good suggestions even if they're old. Don't straight up go on a "denying" rampage.
