Disputing CDT removal/ban

After speaking to a high-ranking admin I've been informed to post a dispute, so here it is!

Basically Mootrucks removed me from the CDT - the reason for my removal was "allegations on name sniping". Allegations? So somebody said something and gave no proof? Is this really the way we do things here on Sythe, punishing somebody for something someone said?

He apparently dealt with a "private" report. This is clearly unjustified, if he has evidence on me he should have to share it publicly.

This is an official Sythe team, he shouldn't have the right to remove somebody based on personal views/opinions. I don't understand this as I've not been reported for anything of the sort, at least not since several months ago when I was reported with no evidence. As the leader of the CDT, Moo should have to provide sufficient reasoning to all actions he takes. Incredibly unfair on my part as I devoted a lot to the team. As I'm still a member of the PR team it's clearly not a decision made by a staff member, it was his personal choice.

I was a member of the CDT for 4-5 months, and out of the blue Mootrucks decided that myself and two others have done something that warrants a kick. Not really sure if he has permission to remove whoever he wants for no adequately explored reason, so I thought I'd check here as it's depressing being kicked for nothing. Not trying to start any issues I'd just like an explanation on this "private" report he dealt with and if he had permission to kick me for it. Not sure what I can do, so I'll await a reply

@Mootrucks if you actually have any reason whatsoever to believe I'm involved in name sniping I welcome you to share it and make it public!

So what, allegations? If I was involved in name sniping I'd be banned. I've been reported in the past for selling names that have been sniped yes, just like 75% of names on the market have been. I won't argue if your decision is final it just seems wildly unfair on my part

I've been told that I shouldn't keep you on the team by other staff members as it's well an official team and I sort of agree although you were a great cdt member I won't deny that.


It's my final decision

While I understand why you'd be hasty in requesting this to be closed, an admin response is most definitely in order.

"Having reason to believe" is just a joke and I'm honestly aw-shocked that it's being used as a reason here - show some evidence!

 

We are still in the process of gathering evidence; however, we have reason to believe you have actively sniped names and have faked sales to yourselves in order to fake a purchase of sniped names. The evidence we have may not warrant a ban at this stage, but the multitude of reports that have come against you damage your reputation and strengthen the charges against you. There may not be enough evidence to issue a ban, but there is enough to remove you from any community leadership position.

Be aware, if you have actively denied sniping this long and continue to waste staff's time with denials (providing this case against you turns out to be true), you will be removed from Sythe and I do not imagine you will be granted a DNT or a pardon in the foreseeable future.

The name sales as a section has been given far too much latitude. This investigation is not limited to you, but also other name sellers whom we believe may have possibly (and continually) participated in sniping names.

Note to the community: If you have proof of someone sniping, please turn it over. If you yourself are someone that should be worried about a name investigation, this would very-much-so help your case.

I will leave this open for Mr Truck's and/or for a higher-up to provide some two cents on your removal.
