[Discussion/Rant] JageX, Unstable, Updates

Now as a fan of new stylish clothing, because I like to wear it because I skill, I have a rant about the new ones.

Now I am in no way against new clothing, but I am against the new mistake JageX has made.

Now with addition of the new implings is awesome. Great for making money. But with the addition of new clothing, that is now being traded for RARES worth 100x more is just amazingly shocking!

I mean this is basically another "mint" cake.
I see people trading the Crown for a BLue Party-Hat or a Cracker. In some cases I saw people giving a mask set + easter for the CROWN!!!!!

JageX just made the economy WORSE! I mean if you're going to release something like this, make and abundant source of it because it's just plain rediculous.
I was trying to buy sets of this clothing because I collect lots of clothing to match capes and dress nicely as I'm a skiller, but after trying to buy this people are in it for the money and greed. I mean people want 1-2B GP for a CROWN!!!!! Some people want a Phat Set for the entire outfit, the economy has been torn apart just now, and before people start exploiting it even MORE, JageX needs to take action because this is just sad.

Personally I think the implings should be more abundant or supply of this clothing in a shop or something because this is just absurd.

These new items are RUINING everything.

Whats next? A Velvet dragon dropping velvet clothing witch will be worth 5 Half Wines?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The grand exchange has made life easier, sure I'll agree..

But as I was training herblore today, I noticed something.

Prayer Pots(3) - 9.5K in G.E
Ranarr (Cleen) - 11.5K in G.E

Wow, 2K loss per potion..........
WTF is going on -.-

People manipulate too damn much because of greed.

I just saw someone in world 1 sell a CRACKER + a DISK for a CROWN + JUNK!
Like are you dumb or something?
It pisses me OFF!
And the poeple who DO have this crown, they ask for 1-2B for it.... like I'm amaxed at some peoples greed and the stupidity of others.

It's not manipulation. It's the only way we can trade when Jagex refuses to adjust prices to what WE want it to be. It's jagex's fault for not raising the prices to what we want them to be. The GE is way behind.

I mean you would if you could get these Imps so easily, but otherwise... it's worth more then a Phat.

I think the Entire G.E system is turning the game into hell.
The MOST annoying is herbs.

It's always like that. You lose money cooking, when you shouldn't, herblore when you shouldn't, etc.

I agree, Jagex needs to fix the GE to adapt more quickly to our prices. If we want those prices to be at that price, then so be it. Let it be that price.

 

That the thing though. If Grand Exchange is already set for 315K MAX for the crown, that should be what people sell it for, and price should only rise depending on how often people buy and either for MAX price or Medium or Low.... then it should rise or get lower, otherwise this is getting out of hand.

I just hate seeing an easy way out for some people with the stupid crowns.. I was in world 2 and saw some trade a Blue and Red for the Crown........ I almost died on the spot....

 

1-2b for an item that can be looted from an impling...

People like that make me sick... I mean if you're going to do that then sell me the Phat for ALL junk cause you'll be able to sell half that junk and buy the crown in 2 weeks for that money....

I know it will drop but it's just become a habit. If something is released it should be set, not manipulated. Because of the G.E that's become possible and RWTing is, I'm sorry to say, even worse now. Because now sites have become 90% LESS detectable thanks to JageX's so called "stop" to RWTing lol.

I just think it's funny as hell seeing people lose Disks and Phats over a crown that'll be down to 300K in 1 week MAX.

 

Then why does it affect you? They'll lose money not you..

I feel sorry for the poeple who do it, yet it's so funny to see. And I hate rares being sold as they're not even rare anymore, like the crown is rare for a day and you MUST be the first to have it, Phats are treated as give-aways, just depressing really :/

 

Try sniping the Crown, and trade it for a Phat. Take advantage of the situtation.

 

Ha, trust me, if I had the junk/cash to offer with a crown, I would haste to get 91 Hunting now, but it's HIGHLY improbable. I can't even get it for a deal. 100M was the lowest offer I saw in a clan chat back this morning, even more now. Don't have THAT much money on my account haha.

And personally, if I had the royal set, I would keep it. I always wanted to have a kings outfit, Party Hats aren't all that to me. I'd rather look like a king skiller then a rich skiller.

I haven't really FULLY played Runescape in a few years, just botted most accounts.
Now just fully started playing on Skiller that I bought off here, so not used to it. I mean I already have it set in G.E for max price, I'm trying to buy them but no one sells :/

 

This does not seem to be a good thing for the economy, but all we cqn do is hope foe the best.

 

I don't think anyone would actually pay that price so it will drop I'm sure.

 

Your thread is early by a few weeks buddy...What do you expect from a new hard to obtain item to be added into the game? It's normal for an item to be expensive when the requirements to obtain the item is difficult. It'll gradually drop down.

As for training skills, it's not common you lose money for cooking, herblore, magic, etc. It's called supply and demand. Since herblore has been around for so long, many people have the requirements for certain potions. In addition to the extreme potions update, more higher levels are training herblore. Supply>Demand, therefore you lose money when training.

BTW, everything you mentioned is not even manipulation...Your asking JageX to staballize the prices results in a fixed economy. To fix manipulation, start a free economy where Jagex cannot control GE prices. But that would add RWT back into the game

 

Sniping is the action of being one of the firts to put an offer at max price on the GE. Basically, it makes you first in line for the item. Giving you the best chance for the item. In the IRC join the Channel #rune-tips for a feature that alerts you when the GE updates.

This got me thinking that there is going to be a huge ripple, a great increase of Hunters, and many higher price items might either significantly rise or drop as they are traded for these new items.
