Absolutely not. The account rental market is already a safe haven for scamming vaders, commission staking would only add issues to grey area reports and promote more scamming in the duel arena

 

No, it gives people even easier ways to scam.
Maybe if it's moderated so that new users have to prove their account is not on the blacklist rented accounts, such as a gif of logging in.

Yes, but only under these circumstance that there is a clan, or discord rank set up in the official Sythe discord for commission stakers. They would have to pay a deposit fee to get that rank (500m, 1b, 2b, or whatever the number may be to a staff member that can monitor that), and that deposit fee would ultimately serve as a refund to users who were to ever get scammed by that individuals commission staking service in the future. Hierarchy ranking system or not, their should be a limit to the number of GP you're allowed to stake for any specific rank that you have, and if you exceed that, then you should face consequences. Also they would have to prove ownership of the account somehow because anything could happen on a rental account that would lead to more scams, bans, and ultimately issues for everyone involved.

 

This is something I like. I already provide a gambling service along with offerings of commission staking in another section, and people love it and we always make sure bettors are secure with hosts streaming/recording every stake / bet. But also, people will eventually earn reputation and will choose them for large stakes instead of some random with 30 post count, just like how it used to be a year ago with account rentals but it became useless to do once accounts started getting banned daily, this now provides a safe way for them to essentially rent out their account to people (in a sense) by getting commission.

 

I support this. As long as strict rules are in place and there are no grey areas I don't see a problem. Let's be honest, there are plenty of ways to scam. Due to the 'free market' here I see obvious scams daily that I'm unable to report because of this and, sure enough, 2 days later they're in the RAS section. Not to mention how many issues there currently are with the account rental section and people changing passwords/gp going missing mysteriously. Put proper rules in place, perhaps use a rank system as above and make sure it's ALWAYS streamed/recorded and issues should be kept to a minimum. Also, maybe do something similar to the RSPS section where bettors MUST be made aware of risks and who has to payout in certain situations i.e. a mistake from the host is on their head whereas server lag can't be helped and is an unfortunate loss. This is essentially just an extension of account rentals and if users use their own common sense and go through the right, trusted users, I can't see as many problems as people are making out.

 

As someone that has commission staked in the past I think it's a good idea. Rs is cracking down so a lot of the current in game staking clans have been shut down. Clearly there would have to be moderation involved but I don't see it as I bigger threat than any other section. Yes of course it opens up to the possibility of scams, but that's on every market..... be smart with who you have stake for you. I mean if you give 1b to a newcomer your not very smart. I would personally offer services if this were to open, and would not have a problem assisting the moderation of the section. Will post again with a rough draft or some rules.

Strict moderation is a must. There are a lot of workarounds to streaming/recording and it's important to have stringent rules in place from the beginning to avoid scams, as in friends chats.

It's far less sketchy than account renting which can go wrong in SO many ways...

No, too many loopholes, account rental rules are already bullshit(no offence but this free market bla bla bla bullshit is useless if it puts more risk to new users than advantages) couldn't even imagine what a paradise for scamers this would be

From what I know, Sythe is a free market, scams are a part of Sythe. Best thing to do is to regulate it. There is already name sales, account sales, and account rentals. Might as well add another sketchy scam haven market while we're at it. At least I can benefit out of that one.

Personally I support this because it would protect my account from getting banned from malicious renters.

There is nothing being done for the account rental section besides a sticky that we made. Why deny basically the exact same market. The main problem is verifying blacklisted accounts.

I'd be all for it if there was some kind of requirement to advertise comission staking service, it's not an no support it's simply not going to change anything , scammers will still scam maybe atleast service's accounts will be safer

 

Ok, I completely disagree. There is absolutely no need for this because there are other places for people to go to if they want to commission stake. If you are going to infract me for disagreeing with you then I will have to stand up and do something about it.

 

Support, this seems like a good way to bring back comm staking and if there are issues then we need to create rules for them. Scamming will always happen, whichever section you're in so just don't be stupid.

 

Richard has stated before that for legal reasons we cannot and we will not be taking deposits to help prevent scams in any way shape or form.


I support this under the condition that the staff team talk about scenarios beforehand and how situations that will arise are to be handled.
