I said this as well within the first 4 posts of the thread. It is something that staff should've just taken to investigating without inciting public fighting. If he can back up his claims then he should be allowed to stay, but if he can't and there is proof he is just giving you a fill in the blank template to send in then he should be forced to stop. None of this public berating should've happened.

 

I disagree with the execution.

Roary should have made a thread without names, would have made for more productive discussion. Or just keep it in the staff lounge altogether. If there's a split, try clarifying and voting again.

Agree with you entirely here.

 

I think by others opinions he meant the everyday sythe user. If staff is split and couldn't come to a determination then public support would probably get it removed.

I'm not here to fight anyone or start any arguments, i think i'm making a clear and concise suggestion on why something like this shouldn't be allowed on Sythe, but if someone wants to argue their point against my suggestion they should be allowed to... this is a public forum after all and anyway, i haven't really seen any argumentative posts yet so i don't see a problem. (Yet)

 

He's gotten my main unbanned so I do not support this. His letters are thorough and professional. I don't think many people would think of the stuff he puts down. It's a good service.

 

I don't think we have ever had a poll regarding this in the staff lounge. At least to my knowledge anyways.

I think I will go ahead and close this and ask for a poll to be made in the staff lounge to prevent further public discussion since this does involve a particular user.

 

There was a discussion, rather informally, which derived from another issue to do with the threads - ultimately it was 50/50 ish and no change or final verdict was made at the time, albeit a discussion and nothing more.

I like to open things for everyone to have their say on, rather then be accused so often of everything being done "behind the scenes" or rules being introduced with no input; it's sometimes useful to gather opinions and get a general consensus when opened for discussion.

I did say to try not to name names but alas, it's inevitable here eh. Thanks everyone for your input.
