Direct Bank Transfer - Extra Donation Method!

I know sythe is Australian and so am i. I'd might rather sending the money directly to Sythe and paying no fees.

Sythe could open up a new bank account in Australia and just tell Matthew the bank details for it so that Matthew could still handle all donations if he wanted to do it that way.

 

I would defiantly donate if this was introduced.

Another method would be wire transfers...im pretty sure every country has the ability. The downsides is the sender has to have the name and account number of the person sending too...i wouldnt trust everyone with my account number...although if it was a new account it might now be as bad...Second, the fees for this vary by bank but at my bank it's $15 to send a wire domestic and $30 to send internationally...its also same fees to receive the wire...so essentially...if I (in the US) were to send $100 to Sythe in Australia...it would cost me $160 ($30 to send and pay the $30 receiving fee)...because it's international...and Sythe/Matthew/Whoever you send it to...they aren't going to want to pay the receiving fee hence why the sender would have to pay.

I will be editing my first post tommorrow probably, since i've thought about improvements on the suggestion because of some of the posts saying against it or pointing out problems.

It sounds like a good suggestion, but maybe Sythe would not want a whole lot of donating Australians knowing his full name etc. which is needed to do a direct bank transfer.

 

i think its a great idea...like people have said, us australians, its alot harder to donate meaning we just dont,.

 

matthew is in charge of donations, not sythe. So ask him though if you have money in your bank just withdraw it and send it via Western union...

 

Western union is already an option with outrageous fees. To get around having to know full names of people...sythe or matthew could open an business account...call it whatever...the only name you need is the name of the account...so if its "lawns plus" or whatever.

 

ok then send it by mail, you have the cash bank transfer would take like 2-5 buissnes days this idea is kinda stupid 80% of sythe is north american and it would be impossible for those people to do that. It's just wasting matthew's time to be honest, putting in all the hard work and then getting like 0 donations from this method because there is no option like this in north america.

 

So... i'll get my AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS and send it to Matthew who lives in AMERICA by mail, great idea Einstein! I'm sure he'd find great use with my Australian Dollars in America!!!

I don't get a shit how you north american donate. He's not going to get any less donations, i'm not saying it should be the only donation method. I'm saying it should be an EXTRA DONATION METHOD. It's shitloads harder for us Australians to donate than Americans, you can just send by mail easily, we can't.


Thanks to those who support this. I haven't yet editted my first post like i said i would, i've been too busy. I am not going to do it right now either since its 11:45pm and i'm too tired. But hopefully i'll get around to it soon.

I agree. Donating is very hard for people outside america thus making it less likely for them to donate.
