Different staff give different treatment

I personally wouldn't go out of the way to infract/change someone's signature if it was a few pixels over. In fact, I don't measure them. Only if they're obscenely large do I purge them. However, there has to be a specific line, and if some staff choose to enforce the line exactly, that isn't a problem.
