Did I Ruin My Chances?

After deciding to make my pure into a gmauler I soon realized that I may have ruined my chances at maintaining a low enough combat level with good enough stats.
I have 25 Atk, 30 Str, and 31 Range all from grinding and 15 prayer from quests. (22 Cb lvl)
Is it too late for my pure to be able to gmaul at desirable combat levels?

This worry came when I was reading up on some guides and I found that everyone was saying to only level range with a cannon or else my HP would end up way too high.
Im wondering if I could quest and grind without a cannon and still be good enough to pk.

50att/99str/1def/99range/99mage/31prayer/99hp would be the fully maxed pure. That'd be pretty good also.

 

I plan on training my range with arrows, and my magic with teleports. Would the range kill my combat level?

 

I don't understand the question. Are you asking if you would become Range based?

 

Why does everyone stop at 31 prayer and decide not to get smite; I think smite is pretty damn good. imo;

My personal opinion is that you can never get your HP too high, however I assume you are making a G Mauler for rushing purposes and will want lower combat.

I guess it entirely depends on the PK bracket you are getting into - something you need to remember, and be careful about, is that anti rushing has evolved a lot, so you will need to have at least a decent HP level to protect yourself against that.

 

I don't think you ruined them I still think can turn out good.

 

I'd recommend training range at the range guild that way you won't HP xp.
