Did i mess up

So I was selling my clash of clans account on ebay and some dude bought it for $150. I went to my paypal said payment was pending and was like whatever so I sent him the info. Can he cancel it? I marked it as shipped, left feedback, and this is my first time ever selling something on ebay.

 

yes. pretty much any paypal payment can be charged back. hope for the best though :|

 

If the pending status is what you're worried about, even after the payment has been confirmed, it can be chargebacked.

at this point anything on paypal can be charged back, all they have to claim is it was a unauthorized payment. goodluck.

 

What if I transfer the money to my bank account, can I then remove everything from PayPal and not be charged back.

 

no. you'll get a negative balance, paypal will contact you via mail to your home/emails/etc to try to regain their lost money, and you'll also incur other charges associated with the negative balance. it's best if you don't withdraw the money immediately

 

Contrary to what most of them are saying, ebay is different regarding chargebacks. If it happens,you'd be contacting Ebay to resolve the issues.

This. I have no idea what anyone here is talking about lmao. They're all talking about Paypal. eBay is SUPER secure when it comes to these types of transactions. If you messaged him/her the account details through the eBay messaging system with proof that the account works you should be fine. Also check his feedback. I would start to worry if he has 0 feedback, but usually anyone with 20+ feedback at 99-100% positive is legit.

actually, i think you may find it is pending because you have a low amount of feedback? if this is the case dw about it, in about 20 days you will get the money, it is just to stop newcomers scamming.. didn't read whole thread though
