Im not sure about that I think he made the jump our of the plane and he dove blind. There was a guy on youtube has the location of one of the bills but he needs to find certain looking tree in the middle of washington st.He says he will split the bounty. Let me seeif I can find that vid in the meantime.

 

haha this guy intrigued me quite a bit when i saw top 10 unsolved mysteries.

personally i think he lived, he seemed to know what he was doing and no body was ever found.

 

Exactly what I was thinking. They found the parachute. But id say he would be diseased by now but I guarantee he was soaking up the sun somewhere outside of the states.

 

I thought the parachute was confirmed not to be his?

All I know is that the Without a Paddle with Seth Green was one of the funniest and most accurate renditions of this story that's ever been made

DB Cooper was just made up by the bank owner. The bank owner was the one who stole the money.

 

Love this theory. Has had me intrigued forever.

I read an interesting fan theory about the show Mad Men (before it ended), that in the show Don Draper would eventually become D.B. Cooper. Lots of things made sense, such as that he comes up with the alias Dan B Cooper from a deviation of Don into Dan, and then B Cooper would be from Bertram Cooper (who was one of the owners of the SC). The reason the show goes on for so many years, and shows all the different real life timeline events, is to show the progression of the show into 1973 when the real life event of D.B. Cooper occurred. Additionally, the way D.B. Cooper reportedly acted sounds a lot like Don Draper's mannerisms. Cool theory, shame it didn't pan out.

 

I very much think DB cooper pulled this off. It was the 70's and he made the jump like a boss, he might of injured himself but hey he had all that money to get a private doctor and retire somewhere never to be found

 

Here is a photo I found. I believe he used a basic military parachute. Today they think they have the guy pin pointed to ex militry training. In some documentary I watched it said some girl thought db cooper was her uncle or something. Ill have to find it. But think about how brutal the wind createdwhen the back of the plane was open.

 

Oh I thought it was confirmed he was Ex military, I knew he had some training of some sort. He was definitely no average joe and planned out everything he wanted to do in my opinion..

 

Wasn't there a new theory that he worked for Boeing due to some kind of material in his tie?

Anything tied to an airplane job I haven't heard but id like to know more. I love to hear different theories.

 

There's also the idea that there was no DB Cooper and it was all fabricated by the flight crew, although that sounds highly unlikely and waaay too risky lmfao...
