'DickButt is a scammer!

Briefly explain the trade: $8 for a Steam account via Paypal
How they scammed: I sent the cash via Paypal, then he stopped responding and set his profile to private.

The screenshots are of the chat we had directly before the trade. I am using a custom Steam skin if you are wondering why it looks that way, link here. Basically, he stated he wanted to sell his account, and he had a really nice deal. I checked his vouches and they looked nice, then sent the money to him first as he requested. Directly after sending, he changed his Steam profile to Private and ignored me. He hasn't responded on Skype or Steam since I sent the money to him via Paypal over 3 hours ago.

 

Can you provide any evidence that links his Sythe profile to the person you chatted with on Steam? A post or PM, anything.

Also, can you provide the proof that you sent money to the PayPal address above?

 

The only thing I have that links the person on Steam to Dickbutt is the link he sent with his vouches here in the chat:

Unfortunately any impostor could have linked you to his vouch page, or anybodies vouch page for that matter.

Did he PM you and ask you to add him on Steam or anything of the sort? Does he have a thread where he lists info about his Steam account? If we can't link that person to his Sythe profile then I will have to close this due to insufficient evidence

 

Sadly no. I will continue to see if I can gather evidence if possible, thank your for your assistance, I will be more careful with this sort of thing next time.

 

I'm really sorry that we are unable to do anything about this. For future trades, I would highly suggest requiring a PM from the person you are trading with during the trade, and trading via Skype or MSN so that there is a unique address to identify them by.
