I highly recommend not dicing, but if you are really set on using this calculator, you can use a free excel-like program from open office to read it (although im not 100% sure it will work with a calculator like this).

As suggested in the FAQ section if you don't have Office you can download "Open Office" which is an open source version of Office.

There's mathematically no way to beat a game long-term where you do knowingly have a negative edge or pay a fee/vig. The flaw in this system is clearly stated in the OP. Lets assume you have the 150m and start with 1m bets.

According to the OP's own calculations, which we'll assume is valid, you have a ~98.5% chance to win a million gp. You have a 1.5% chance of losing 150m. So out of 100 rolls, you win a million 98.5 times and go broke the other 1.5 times. Even if you walk away up a couple million and come back to play the next day... those odds don't change. You will go broke eventually . Feel free to play if you enjoy gambling and the rush of a short term gp boost. But don't ever fool yourself into thinking you can grind these games for some sort of expected profit.

This same concept works with staking. I find it works well.

 

This sums it up well, at the end of the day this strategy is going to allow you to play the game a lot longer but inevitabely you are going to loose. It is simply a matter of whether or not you decide to risk that 1.5%.

People need to realize that doubling on losses doesn't mathematically do anything. It gives you a sense of false confidence that has been proven false.

The small margin of profit balances with the fact that you have a tiny chance for complete fall out.

Think of it like this:
If you decide to bet all of your earnings in one roll you have a %50 (or 45 in 55x2) to completely double your money. You have the same chance (or more) to completely lose your money.

If you bet 1/100th and continually double on your losses you will need to win 100 total rolls without hitting that one long loss streak. Essentially when the math is broken down you are still taking that 50/50 (or 55/45) chance to double your money in the long run, except you take much longer to do it.

If you read through the posts you would know RsProd already posted it was safe..

 

It's a very nice calculator but it's not something that can accurately predict your profits..

UNLESS! you keep at it. If you dice 100 times, you're not likely to lose all 100 times. The more you do something (i.e., the more samples there are to choose from) the more likely you are to replicate the original results. (or the more likely you are to reinforce the odds.)
