[DENIED] Update, Enforce, Clarify rule for name tarnish and RAS abuse

Hello all, as I've been taking classes this should be good practice for my english language sorry for if it is not very good.

I see very often recently, excessive thread created, excessive posting to abuse and tarnish name and extreme childish behaviour in report a scammer section. This website is ran for business for buyer and seller, staff time get taken up by excessive post from immature back and fourth or repeat posts of same things in exact same way or similar way. I suggest make clarify to rule and enforce more punishment to users who abuse this.

Good example is currently (to not cause more issue name left out) two user name call
other claiming both are this or that stupidity, over 20+ post on 1 report 3 page long, is repeating same claims already made before staff response. This issue waste staff time to see if any important detail or new detail is added to report, and user time to verify if person being reported is bad or risky business. This issue also cause damage to business owner when same or similar report is open many time, or report is post on many time to stall or bump thread for visibility. Other recent example is Gun mess and many who are involve. Maybe also suggest after so many report made against user, like infraction build up user is TWC 7-30 day or infracted for poor trading practice if number of report is made even if report may not have enough proof to act, but if many people report similar user for similar or different issue even if not enough evidence, user receive punishment of some type.

Maybe to clarify on this on rules, I see staff have to lock thread sometime to make it stop @Gladiator I think was one recently to do so. Current report with @Tyler have to deal with entire 3 page report, maybe 4 by time is handled from user abuse, make same claims, tarnish name before mod even reply to handle...

It is hard for moderators to have to sift through useless garbage to find the facts of a case, however some people get upset when involved in a dispute and don't look at things logically/objectively

 

Agree to this, but some people who do on purpose to stall or tarnish name should be warn or infracted for excess. I understand human nature to get upset if being treated poor, but this is place of business, few time is understanding, 2 pages of same stuff is excess and seem like malicious purpose.

 

Agree. Infract the people involved in the post if they cant discuss the issue at hand and are constantly bashing or talking shit in the posts.

 

Let's be real, infractions don't do anything; People are always going to post retarded shit.

I think a better solution to the problem would be to have the section moderated (like the gold market sections) , where a mod has to approve of what's posted to avoid what you have described as malicious/name tarnishing posts that are not relevant to the actual report.

 

i mean Sh33dy was banned the other day for his infractions so eventually they will add up and lead to some kind of punishment.

 

I almost got banned a week back because of infractions building up for small things, they do, do something.

It's quite annoying having to wait hours for a thread to go up, in reality though let's say someone was scamming, I'd want to open a report ASAP so that the community would be weary of his dealings on Sythe, I'm pretty sure years back I avoided a scam happening by receiving a suspicious pm from a friend of mine actually on Sythe that was offering to buy gold at a rate that was too good to be true, I ended up report it for suspicious activity and for good reason, he was trying to scam quit.

 

Like Tyler said, that kind of report is 10x harder for a staff member to deal with because we aren't sure if there's a nugget of useful info in all that garbage so we have to read it all and it can be frustrating and annoying.

If you want your reports handled timely, only post relevant information and answer our questions promptly.

As far as adding a rule to attempt to prevent that kind of post, I'm not sure. I'd love for it to stop, but I don't know if it's objective enough to put it into a rule. So probably not.

 

Being screwed over is frustrating and annoying which is why the text is probably frustrating and annoying also.

 

Users react differently to scams / reports in the RAS. Sometimes theres ego involved, sometimes theres emotion due to losing money, whatever it is, infracting someone over going back and forth is a bit much and I think it can potentially make the situation worse.

Reports that end up with multiple back and forth messages are not very common but they do sometimes assist with the ruling. If a situation gets out of hand, staff generally lock the thread so that the information can be processed.

 

Issue is users abuse system and section against others during report between staff reply. Big issue is with this

 

This doesn't need to be a suggestion.

Staff are capable enough to determine what is spam, and what is not - pertaining to both, random users posting on said threads, and the actual parties involved.

 

Beg to differ. I was banned 1 week for being a smartass in RAS and constantly posting there. I learnt my lesson and have never posted back there again unless i'm involved. And infractions buildup can and do hurt. Imagine being banned a whole month or more from Sythe for nothing other than a couple words.

 

I'm pretty sure staff is competent enough to be able to use their judgement when sifting through posts like that. The nice thing is that, there is always a possibility for the truth or a contradictory statement to come out when angered or frustrated which could turn everything around in a dispute. They aren't new to the game so, quite honestly, i'll have to go with a no support on this one.

I feel same thing being repeated... As if you both did not read my message... Yes I know staff is competent, that is not relevant to my point. Despite whether staff is competent, there should be more accountability towards users who abuse the system.. and tarnish names of other business excessively, thanks.

Staff should hold more accountability towards users who are abusing the system, I may need to link the reports here so you all can see exactly what I am refer to

Staff lock threads if they become too spammy, or we ask users to not post unless we specifically tag them. This is quite a rare occurrence. Thank you for your consideration.
