[Denied] Incorporate Pokémon minis into posts

If you guys can somehow incorporate Pokémon ranks into posts, would be a nice way to get users to want to be more active via discussion.

Let’s say whenever you post anywhere within the forums, you have a chance to roll a Pokémon. Chances would be low so that it would take some time to actually get something good but I think this would be a great way to get more people to be active.

Going to get a lot of flack for this.. but remember chances will be low. Similar to getting a pet in OSRS, getting something rare like a mew two would be hard and take tons of activity. (Non-spam)

Also this would not be applicable to spam forum.

Imagine replying to a post and getting a Celebi. You would lose your shit probably! I know I would. I love the pet system in osrs so something like this would definitely give me incentive to want to be more active.

Rares will still stay rares. So Celebi would be like a 1/30k or something.

Please post your suggestions or thoughts on this. I think this is a great way to bring more activity. Similar to how Pokémon go was when everyone was out trying to catch them lol. Even if it brings fake traffic, traffic is still traffic. Traffic that will also be monitored… spam still not allowed.

 

I think this is neat tbh. And so what do you collect pokes so they are only visible on your posts or something? Pretty cool ngl.

 

Yes you can collect them and trade
them exactly how they are now. Now however there would be three ways to obtain them.. through the gift boxes, posting, and special Pokémon events. Some Pokémon can be put aside for events only and some can be put aside for gift boxes only.

 

I like the idea but I don't think they should be tradeable. Defeats the whole purpose of earning them via posting.

I think having a chance at earning a pokemon by posting is a really cool idea. To bring activity up (not in SF). But having them tradable like I said defeats the purpose. If they are not tradable, that is what I will support.

 

I get you. Makes sense. I’m for whatever! Just them being incorporated would be awesome rather than having to buy them or gift boxes.

 

I also like the idea of this. Believe it or not, I actually lean more towards the camp of them being tradeable. Being tradeable allows them to be sold for $ which I feel like would drive more interest.

 

yeah maybe make some tradeable while others can not be traded like super rares.

 

I forget where we left off on the pokemon minis discussion last time we talked about it... Probably fizzled out similar to how prizebox revamping did.

Either way, I think this could work though I would want everything to be tradable. We'll discuss it as a group soon.

 

We don't want to devalue Pokemon minis. It's a thin line keeping the minirank economy stable. Perhaps in the future, but at this point in time, we are not looking to implement this. Thanks for the suggestion nonetheless.
