[DENIED][Suggestion] Allow scammers back into the market with no pardon

If they pay back the debt owed x2 - First amount to the users they scammed and the same amount allocated to community repayment
Edit: Once unbanned the user will remain with a TWC that they can pardon for after 30 days

No the whole point of the pardon process is for staff to decide if they deem the person a risk or not still, Lets say someone attempted a big scam but only got away with 1/5 of what they wanted you're essentially going to be allowing them to have another chance a week later if they pay back x2.

Staff have to take a lot into consideration when voting on a pardon because the last thing we want is people coming back and scamming a higher amount a week later.

 

That is a possibility but so is me winning the lottery tomorrow.. a staff member could still deny the fluke scenario of that occurring I suppose (on rare occasions)

Edit: On second thought staff should have no say on if they remain banned - only on the users future twc pardon

 

No support, doesn’t make any sense. The $ amount repaid shouldn’t be the deciding factor in returning to the market. Pardon system works fine imo

 

Haha hell no, pardons should always remain as is. Scamming isn’t just being in debt, it also means you’re doing something unjust for which require actual remorse.

 

This will repay random scam victims and save time from moderators

In my opinion it is more sincere paying back the victims and apologizing + donating towards the community repayment > paying back victims + writing up a hit piece

I am unfamiliar with @Milotic 's situation but with my suggestion essentially he would be welcomed back into the market (no questions asked) if he paid double his debt owed

 

In my opinion charging people twice the amount they scammed only ensures that those who actually are a danger to the community will plan better in order to scam for 2x more next time.

 

This suggestion is not mandatory rather a choice; if you wish to skip pardoning you pay back x2 and your ban will be lifted and replaced with a TWC

 

The issue with the TWC thing is that this sites pardon system was changed back in the day to not allow users to return under certain conditions I.E with a TWC. Receiving a pardon is now returning to the community with a clean slate. We did used to allow users to return with a TWC back in the day. Not exactly sure the specific reasoning behind the change, but I'm sure some old heads could shed some light on why the pardon system was changed in the first place.

This sounds great for people who scam quit for $5k, but remember that some bans are for what people do rather than the money they steal. AKA Gun has no debts iirc but he just leaks personal information and scams people over and over, no one wants him here. Same with Bus369

 

Take a look at the pardoned users' voting results thread. Even IF you pay up, its incredibly hard to get the dnt removed. Staff often deny pardons of users who paid up.
