    Referring to my new violation thread in some specifics and I know this user isn't and wont be the only one.

    Possibly trying to market with DNT

    I think it's just enough to have the common sense to know people will still check things out when they see them regardless of a DNT or not. With this being said things being openly advertised still encourages people to click them for whatever purpose and ultimately in many cases get scammed.

    I get DNT can still use the forums, and that should be enough. There is no reason they should still openly be able to advertise their discord servers etc.

    Profile feed clearly states to "join his discord" and you can see the custom user title saying to click too, easy access to bypass DNT.

    Again the same with signature spots, another easy manipulated way to get a bypass to market manipulate further.

    ive gone ahead and removed the above users info, but iirc only admins are supposed to mess with the privilege's of the user profile, but I think only global+'s have access to the information. but i don't see anything wrong with removing the information

    When someone is DNT'd based upon a RaS decision, couldn't a global remove the advertisement at time of decision? Going back and removing info from any currently DNT users might be cumbersome, but moving forward it seems fairly straightforward unless I'm off base.

    If you report a DNT user advertising his business on his profile - UT, signature, About You, link in any field on the user's profile, profile posts and possibly other creative forms of advertising, staff will take the following into account:

    • Age of the post/advertisement
    • If the ad was posted/added to the profile prior to receiving DNT, then I personally would not consider it an 'attempting to trade whilist DNT' and would simply remove the ad.
    • If the ad was posted/added to the profile after receiving DNT - IIRC DNT users cannot edit their signature, avatar and UT, but can still be creative elsewhere - then I would personally consider this to be 'attempting to trade whilist DNT'.

    I could see staff removing such ads when closing a report.
    However, the thing is that we also differentiate between scamming related offenses and other cases, such as persistent bad trading practices, in which case we usually let the ads expire - unless they are banned for scamming the ad stays up until the end of the period - in which case it seems odd to remove a DNT user's ads, but let other people advertise for him in their UTs and signature spaces.

    Thoughts?

    Removing market threads would make it more difficult for people to catch ban evaders. Removing the posts of banned/DNT'd users is also on the Do Not Suggest list.

    So in stead of sitting on the front page (eventually behind all active bumps) they'd get pushed to the "last page"
