when you click someones name on here you get options to view their profile pm them audit them and some other stuff, why don't we have another clickable option which directs us to all the problems they have had in the past. this could save a ton of people from getting in with someone who has had issues before, and could keep the new people joining sythe here rather than quitting this website after getting scammed (I just had this idea so if someone kinda gets what im saying please add onto it.)

Yes, I know you can search archives and shit and pardons but new people may not all be so informed upon joining this website.

The pardon system that is set in stone atm is the ideology of a “clean slate” pardon system.
Where as you’re cleansed from any negative stigma as well as given the opportunity to flourish on this website post successful pardon.
I don’t think your suggestion will pass, it will be denied even if there is a majority of supporters here.
However, having just a option to view offenses such as infractions might be okay? But I don’t think that really matters as many of us get infractions because we are too busy & bump thread prematurely and / or spam things we shouldn’t just for fun.

In reference to pardons, a pardon = a clean slate. As such, that won't be happening.

In regards to TWC's, someone having successfully appealed their TWC can be likened to a pardon, in the sense that they have learnt from their mistake(s). However, I wouldn't be opposed to having a TWC history shown on one's profile if they repeatedly receive TWC's. The number of TWC's received before having said history shown can be determined at a later date, if this were to pass.

I'm all for transparency but am not in favor of this. In short, the value add is low, the effort required is high, and the end result isn't all that useful anyhow.

There are essentially four things you could want to see, right? Warnings, TWCs, DNTs, and bans. Warnings are almost entirely boring things that have no bearing on a user's "trustworthiness." TWCs, DNTs, and bans are all super easily accessible on google ("site:sythe.org [username]" finds almost all this stuff instantly), and as others have mentioned, our philosophy is "if you don't have the rank anymore, we won't hold it against you." I can't see us ever changing that approach in favor of publicly recording users' past transgressions.

Yeah I guess if thats how you stand, im just saying you can get someone on your record in real life and most of the time that is with you forever, not sure why people would be in favor of it not being so online. but I suppose transparency is a thing of the past lol. thank you all for your opinions I appreciate the point of views.

More like the other way around. Remember that the majority of the users aren't the smartest. As a matter of fact quite often I have to remind people in the profile posts that they are requesting services from a DNT'ed user.

EpicNPC for example showcases ban reasons on their profiles and I find it very efficient.

But yeah, no matter what we think, it's on the Do Not Suggest, so I guess our opinions don't matter anyways.

I agree that a pardon is a clean state. However, does a thread title from a previously banned member get changed to 'resolved' once a user has successfully pardoned?
If not, adding a clickable option would be similar to using the search engine and looking up someone's names In RASA.

Another point: does it matter if a report is valid or not? Like, would it like to a ban after a provided service, when there's no proof who caused the ban?

It could be a nice addition, but I wouldn't put it anywhere high up the list. For the limited recourses we have available, I wouldn't support this suggestion.

I agree for service providers if they have mistakes, failed services etc there should be a place for clients to leave "negative feedback" considering most these providers buy their way out of the penalties.

However they dont want to give the people causing issues a reason to scamquit so they "clean slate them" and allow them to cause other people issues in the future then protect the provider with "we can't prove his worker alched your defender and sold all your shit"

It def needs some work but infractions shouldn't be visible considering some mods that aren't even around just had or have a grudge and wanna infract some people for anything they can especially when they themselves are competitor.

Def a good suggestion but like the others said it wont pass and I honestly dont see why they don't add a negative feedback place, you can't leave "negative feedback" on a vouch thread because it's for "vouches" yet sometimes some people deserve a negative feedback.

Good luck and good idea.

While nice in theory this would further encourage users to hop accounts to avoid this type of blackmark similar to DNT and TWC evasion that already occurs.

Further, this would mainly be implemented onto users that have pardoned from these prior valid reports.
Pardons are meant to be a clean slate and this would discourage people from returning to the site and paying their debts.

Not to mention that this information is already public knowledge and can be easily found in a few moments with the search feature.
