Definitely a good idea. I still think this should be on a case to case basis tho. Some people who are twc'd just doesn't care enuff to get untwc'd, are we gonna not allow them to trade also?

(Ex.) If a trainer is twc'd for not having a homeip, dnt should be applied within 2-3days to them because they pose a risk

If they are just buying gold and going first, they shouldn't because they don't pose a risk. These people should have more time before being dnt'd

Bump. Although we do not support this system and will always be under a free trade market. I would love to hear others opinions on this.

 

Let’s be real here for a minute, how many users which r not ban evaders choose to not dispute their home ip twc? I think if we implemented this more people would ultimately be forced to pardon, or get a new isp if they wish to continue being on sythe. The «free market» is just getting old at this point.

 

This seems very simple to me and I support it.
If you can't log in from a dedicated home IP address, you should be able to provide some proof of who you are.
This would make people alot more nervous about scamming someone online.

 

I'll support this as I've always been for a system like this. I prefer the TWC to DNT after x amount of days over DNT immediately simply because not every user who doesn't immediately post from a home IP when joining is a ban evader as there are valid reasons I'd imagine preventing them from doing so (at least when they're still new and getting a better grasp of the forum). Sure the number may be smaller compared to ban evaders, but we still want to be as user-friendly as possible in regards to these issues so people aren't left with a bitter first experience on Sythe.

The majority of users who never follow up with posting on their home IP try to abuse our current system by either making a reason/excuse as to why they can't dispute their TWC to help users feel more comfortable in trusting them (which is out of our control for someone to determine who they can trust, or not, but still good to note) and ultimately either claiming they'll dispute it soon or sticking by that excuse/reason until they can scam-quit and move onto another account. I believe giving them a smaller time-frame (week max, but preferably shorter if possible) would be the best option in combating the issue.

 

I support this, i've been scammed by someone with dnt it seems to give them a chance to give them a 2nd chance to scam in the time being if you don't look carefully.

 

In reality its too easy to ban evade anyway, Its a bad thing that will not change imo.
I support your idea, but I also think the duration like @Ice Queen mentioned should be shorter.

 

Whats wrong with giving them a dnt right away? Why give them even 5 days to scam someone. Having a twc just lets them view market threads and find victims.

A home IP TWC that turns into a DNT after 3 days of activity without posting from home IP would be a very good idea, in my opinion.

 

I like it. Hopefully others will chime in on this, and get a more community based decision.

 

I don’t agree with the 3 day wait for the dnt, unless it is automatically added after x amount of days. If staff has to do this manually then no support, if it is automated then sure why not
