The Paypal Blacklist - Making trades safer


Currently its hardly updated if at all.

Suggestion:
Have one or two moderators update this on a weekly basis. (seeing as recently a few new mods have been added)
If someone makes a RAS report about Paypal Chargebacks, Moderators please add them to this thread.

Lots of Sythe users gets scammed, makes a RAS thread, and quit. Very low chance they would go out their way to post in this thread, so it should be up to the staff to make sure its updated.

 

I would encourage users active in the gold flipping sections to report their chargebacks and add the email to the thread once verified. Many gold sellers do not report these cases and it allows the scammer to have more victims.

Also, for the record, these posts need to include their valid scam reports or they would be considered 'accusing of scamming without proof'

 

Great, if you can provide a proper formatting for the posts (and edit that into the current thread) I'll be glad to oblige. but currently, its just a list that hasnt been updated for over half a year.

Also, if a RAS is properly filed for a chargeback, theres all the evidence that was needed.

It does not need to be added to the first post of the thread for it to have the same effect. The idea is that if someone searches up an email it would link to the thread. Take your post for example: https://www.sythe.org/search/139404880/[email protected]&o=date, its not on the first post but its pretty clear that its a paypal you shouldn't trade.

The formatting should be straightforward:
Username:
Report:
Email:

 

the current issue is, if the first post isnt updated, ctrl+f wont give you the email on the other pages unless you scroll through it one at a time.

And even then, very few individual knows about this. It should be brought up more often in RAS posts by mods when its regarding chargebacks.

 

I wouldn’t mind adding to the list, I mean I’ll be sure to see some scum bag sooner or later.

Oh and another thing, regarding the 'report' a lot of these chargebackers dont have a Sythe account (or perhaps they buy without saying what their Sythe is).

In those cases, we can only upload the 'picture' of said chargeback and not an actual report.

 

support this as there are many goldsites who get scammed on a daily and we can't always rely on 2 year data, as most of the people on the current list probably aren't active anymore.

A collective effort and a uniform, streamlined process amongst major gold websites could go a long ways in not only helping prevent chargebacks on their websites, but protecting users here.

It would need to be more prominently accesssible / viewable. Users of the forums should not have to dig through and hunt for this kind of thread, it should be prominently displayed.

A streamlined, fair, and just process would need to be worked on so users aren't randomly accused of wrong doing and put on the list- something that needs to be debated on how best to go about.

 

This won't be a staff duty, though this can be someone's personal duty and/or a CDT/PR duty. If someone wants to update said thread I'll gladly assist you in having it remade. My suggestion in such case would be to have someone update the current thread and once done so I'll gladly remake it so that people can use the report button instead to have new information added in. Denied as a Sythe suggestion though feel free to hit me up if you want to pick this up and I'll assist.

 

I have gone through the thread to update it since it's last update but it appears there are no updates needed since none of the latest posts have scam reports linked to them, which is a requirement. Thank you for the suggestion regardless.
