    [DENIED] Disallow trusted tags

I don't know what the rules are on the [Trusted] tag in thread titles, but it seems most people are able to freely use this, even when their reputation is mediocre at best. This may give a wrong first impression to new users, especially given the term holds a lot of value, and has basically zero written requirements for someone to use.

I would like to see this practice get disallowed as a whole, as this term is fairly subjective.

Would like to hear what others have to say about it.

@Rasmus has already suggested this recently and it has been denied.

Sythe is a Free Market, allowing people to use different types of business strategies to engage their customers. I don't think it's misleading at all... if you trust a thread title because it has the word Trusted in it, I'm concern.

Such as selling gold for 0.40 cents - 0.80 cents to find that the current selling rate is 0.80? "clickbait"

Also another business strategy, that's how business is. If you don't like it, leave the free market scene.

There's a big difference between a free market and being misleading in the information you provide.

There are certain rules or guidelines in advertising in real life to follow, which is a free market aswell. Anything deemed unfair or misleading should go. I feel like being freely able to state that you're trusted, even if you are far from it, seems like a big no-no.

If that is the business strategy you chose to use and need to rely on, or can't maintain a business avoiding this term, this may just prove my point on how big of an impact this highly subjective term has.

    - Yes there are certain rules / guidelines in advertising in real life - which this does not infringe. Businesses advertise using the words "BEST, FASTEST, CHEAPEST" which is also all misleading... but it is completely allowed.

    - It is up to the customer to decide if this person is trusted or not, adding the title trusted under a title does not determine anything.

    1. Irrelevant, this thread isn't addressing those issues.

    2. If that's the case, which I fully agree with should be how things are done by the way, then why should we allow the usage of trusted tags? If anything, in the wrong hands, the tag is highly misleading and could potentially bring harm to unknowing users.

1.) You brought up in real life regulations. The word "Trusted" is just as inaccurate as when businesses state "BEST". According to your logic, the word "BEST" will mislead new customers to assume that the business provides the "BEST" and no other business is better. Your thread is addressing the exact example I brought up.

2.) The word "TRUSTED" in the title is not hurting anyone. If you can bring up actual hard evidence of cases where people were scammed because the title of a thread stated "TRUSTED" I'll rest my case and drop the argument, which I doubt you'll be able to bring up.

"""""Support, price range shouldn't be more than 5c in my opinion, you shouldn't be able to advertise a price you will never actually offer, as that is false advertisement.""""""

My response: But these sites do offer these prices, depending on how much you are buying or selling. In addition to that, some sites will charge 5-10c less depending on the payment method, too. So let's say a buyer is using western union + buying 4b, the price would be incredibly cheaper than Joebob who is buying 10m via paypal (which has many fees).

Please use common sense or figure out a way to properly regulate price ranging (you won't).

ON TOPIC, no support. This has been suggested so many times. It's hard to regulate because you can't make a fine line between who IS trusted and who is NOT trusted in a community. Therefore, you either have to ban the term "Trusted" as a whole or allow everyone to use it. If you end up banning the word "Trusted" in thread titles you will just open up new doors to different words and an equally large headache. Please guys, come on.

Users should scrutinize and research who they are trading with. If a new user is advertising themselves as trusted, the interested party should be able to verify that claim. This would set a precedent for all marketing tactics such as "cheapest gold, #1 seller, best service" and we have no plans to do that.
