[dEnIeD] Delete the game verifiers/booster ranks

As you can see the Overwatch booster ranks are very inactive. League boosters are still getting verified it seems, but not really often. The same happened with Steam verifiers - a rank that has now been removed.

Considering that one was removed, I'd much rather have all booster/verifier ranks removed and the rules becoming stricter upon creating boosting threads.

The majority of the verified boosters are most likely no longer active, neither are the verifiers probably. Just remove them all together.

 

Support. The removal of these ranks I feel would help new boosters coming into the scene, "verified" boosters are probably more likely to get eyes from people looking for services and on top of what you said about them not being active is... eeh.

Maybe in the future something different could be added for known or long-time boosters, but they can always just add those stats into their title or top of their thread like most others do (3k+ trades etc. kind of landmarks). I just don't see the point of this remaining up.

 

@Wortel You didn't really offer an argument as to why they should be removed or how they're negatively affecting the community.

@Vul There aren't any requirements to get the rank other than being verified, so removing them would do the opposite of help new boosters ie. they would have no way to get their foot in the door

 

Can't comment on OW, however, we do LoL verifier cleanups every 6 months.

Verifying LoL boosters in almost every scenario is a benefit for potential customers, and also the booster/company themselves. Simply because there aren't that many verified, it doesnt mean the process and resulting outcome is invalid. Also note that previously we had around 50 boosters verified, but many were culled during the last clean up.

Furthermore, the 1000's of boosters/boosting companies i've spoken to, all appreciate the notion behind being verified - it also draws boosters/boosting companies to this website, as our system is well regarded within the boosting community.

I see no reason to remove the process.

I agree, I also think they should either remove or start actually doing what they say when they want us to "do what they stickies tell us to" with pictures of our stuff etc.

I have seen hundreds of thread that aren't doing it despite meant to, yet we have people like @Tony being a wet flannel targeting the odd ones that US active people make.

 

Looks like the Overwatch ones are totally dead, so I'm okay with those being removed. Based on @s's post it seems like the LoL ones are doing okay, so I'm neutral on those.

 

The league one is being used and was updated just a few days ago. Gen has received PMs about overwatch too. if we feel they aren't being used, we'll revisit them in the future to remove them.
