[Denied] Bumping rules made more clear

Change the autobumper bumping rules.

Currently as it stands you are not allowed to bump if you are not ready to trade, yet members who have donated enough to autobump bypass this rule.
Either change the rule itself to suggest that autobumpers cannot bump without being ready to trade or remove the rule completely.

Bogus Posting or Bumping: All posts and bumps in market/trading sections of the site must relate to real trades. You may not bump your sales thread if you are not legitimately ready to trade at the time of bumping, or if only doing so for the sole purpose of increasing post count.

Below suggests normal bumping rules apply but the abusers bypass this rule and certainly don't get infracted.
An exception exists for $300+ donors who have had an IP whitelisted in the user center. These users may whitelist one IP address for an autobumper that bumps only their own threads. Normal bumping rules still apply.


It needs to be more clear about bumping and why can someone get away with it simply because they have donated 300$ to sythe?


I think if they was amalgamated into one line it be far more easier to see

 

Something I'd like clarified is the window of availability after bumping.

E.g. if I bump my thread but no one inquiries me within 5 minutes, am I not considered available at the time of bumping then?
I think it would be a good idea to add a time frame to the rule.
Just to make things more clear and avoid confusion.

 

Very good point & I feel in general the rules around bumping should be clarified a lot deeper.

I reported a post which was rejected today because the persons auto bumper was bumping yet the person in this case was last seen on sythe 14hours previous to the auto bump.

Yet he was on discord as idle status and wasn't available to trade.

I personally think you should respond within 1 hour of the last bump. What do you think?

 

I also experienced one of these situations not too long ago.
Contacted a service provider after he had bumped his thread (both on Sythe and Discord) and did not receive a reply.
Reached out to a moderator who told me that the provider had no obligation to answer me.
The moderator reasoned that the service provider does not have to deal with me if he doesn't want to?

I think you should be available for 15-20 minutes after bumping.

There is another issue though.
If someone does not reply to a Sythe private message, they could easily argue that they were in fact available but on discord (and vice versa).
Don't know how to tackle that...

 

I think the way around the sythe/discord is simple if there is someone who is available on one or the other they are available, but if you don't get a response on discord usually thats the answer as majority will read that first.

Also i don't think its a bad thing for a big company or service providers who have someone in there discord to deal with them 24/7 its more an issue when the customer gets no response whatsoever.
