[Denied] Suggestion to make Sythe great again

Got a pretty small and simple suggestion that has worked for my companies. What if we bought domains that redirect to the forums with advanced SEO/meta tags on each domain that redirects directly to sythe essentially increasing traffic by anywhere from 4-10x depending on how many domains are redirecting, heck I would even pay for the new domain names.

 

I’m sure the community will be all in for actual new users, so I doubt anyone will be against it if you took it upon yourself. Will you get recognition from it? Doubt it. Will Sythe/Richard care? Most likely not. Can’t say for sure what the admin team (if they are still alive) will do, but I guess we’ll see about that.

Sythe has been around for long enough years that getting domain re-directs isn't necessary (unless you are going to somehow acquire a very rare / big name domain which would cost likely a stupid amount of money,) certainly nothing in the area that Richard or the admins would want to invest in just to gain a few more users who may or may not stick around.

Are we like baiting new users? If yes then it's a no for me.

Do you realize that the average age of a a random user is probably between 23-29? Most of us are big grown men/women with jobs (even with kids). Everyone is so busy with their lives tbh so what you are doing is basically trying to attract these people who are already devoted to something else? Yeah it won't work

I was thinking from a community stand point make it a point to be more inclusive and EXPAND! Sythe could easily make sub forums for other games or debates forums on hot topics, I think its time to move away from being the king of osrs forum boards to everything with some basic seo wizardry things could go viral and get really busy really quick . Strategically we would target low click conversion users in different topics and interests then build from there.

 

Great ideas and all, such as many suggestions (that were even denied), but without a captain on deck this ship isn’t going anywhere, as ours is currently out drinking.
