[Denied] A use for Sythe Gold

To my surprise, there is no use for Sythe Gold. There is a forum for it, but no real purpose for it existing. The whole forum looks to be a post count farming mine. You buy it at such a ridiculously low price, that no matter how much you do buy, it wouldn't make a dent in the poorest man's wallet.

The only use it would and should have is for miniranks. You should be able to gamble your Sythe gold for a chance to win a random minirank in the user center. Because there is so much in circulation already and the price is skewered to the point where it would be abused, there should be a limit to how much you can gamble/roll per week. This in turn would raise the price of Sythe Gold, making it a decent commodity.

Sythe User Center

Attribute the percentages based on the amount of current ones in circulation. So for example, you're more likely to roll vs because of the amount currently distributed.

Another idea: You can scale the amount of times you can gamble according to how much you’ve donated. This adds an additional donation perk to each tier.

Example:

$5 Donor can roll once per week
$50 Donor can roll twice per week
$100 Donor can roll three times per week
$200 Donor can roll four times per week
$500 Donor can roll five times per week

 

This has been suggested in the past and has not passed. Would take too much effort from staff, and they are tired.

 

I don’t doubt that it was suggested before. I’m not familiar with coding so I don’t know how extensive this request is, but in thought it doesn’t sound unreasonably hard to do. It’s objectively fair.

It would be a matter of “is it worth the time invested?” and the answer is yes if you’re trying to retain user activity. Even if not for the market specifically, you would create another reason for users to interact with the website on a weekly basis (if we’re going with that cycle). Lots of mobile apps follow the same structure.

 

A very simple sythe search will tell you it’s not going to happen ...

I’m confused. None of those suggestions are similar to my own. None of those suggestions sound realistic for implementation. My idea sounds more practical.

 

Really…. In simple terms you’re suggesting a gold sink by burning sythe gold for mini ranks.

Anyways even if that wasn’t the case, look at the reply from sythe staff & ex staff. They are all resorting to a simple “won’t be happening” response.

 

No, I’m suggesting a use for Sythe Gold. Actually using the gold is an automatic sink, even if that wasn’t the angle I was going for. I’m sure there were many suggestions that “wasn’t going to happen”, but over time, did happen. Whether this suggestion gets denied or not, we all should be advocating for a use.

If you want to talk about my specific suggestion and the details of it, I will be glad to hear you out on it.

At this point sythe gold is just cosmetic. I will support any ideas for sythe gold but I don’t think it will ever happen.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing some form of incentive for it so sure support.

We could maybe add miniranks that you win from prize boxes of a certain type or something, that are ONLY from these specific boxes etc, gives a use for the sythe gold vs gambling it for the boxes and potentially gaining something in return that's sort of unique.

 

Support, even maybe 1x a month would be nice

Will never happen but a store to buy extra flare would be neat. Im sick of seeing how gohan has aids lets put some uncommon ones up for sale with sythe gold.

Then Sythe needs to hire more staff if they're tired. We need to have more active staff who care about taking time out into implementing such suggestions, cause if anything it just helps our forums have more incentives to be active.

Its a good suggestion Velasso, could be a nice way to increase activity and get more involvement at end of the day.
