Demotion!

That is part of it to. When you go storming into the thread, and start handing out infractions for the smallest things, then it gets annoying. But if you treat the wrong doer in a correct manner, and tell them why they got it..they are more likely not to do it, rather than you being hasty towards them.

It is all about respect, and if you can give it out.

 

It's apparent that most of you can't see this - Sythe is not a democracy.

Moderators are not "elected" by the members, they are chosen by administrators.

Pshynosis is doing a decent job (aside from the silly infractions) and it is NOT up to you if he stays mod or not. You don't like it? You're welcome to leave; no one is stopping you.

Also, quite a number don't seem to understand what a moderator does. A moderator is meant to remove what they see fit in their section. They can delete or lock threads if they wish. However, moderators are NOT LIMITED to who they can give an infraction to (except administrators) or what for. Whether or not the infraction is warranted is another story, but it's never that big of an issue.

Cp is right, Sythe is NOT a Democracy. I have learned this first-hand.

Sythe is a Dictatorship, and if you don't know what that is, go to Google or Wikipedia.

A Mod is allowed to infract out of their own section, because their would be no excuse for them to let someone breaking the rules to slide by. If you would look through other User Suggestions, you would notice that all this information is already laid out for you.

A Game Dev Mod is obviously a Mod who monitors Game Development. It does not mean that they are to be making a Game, but they must have experience on a games creation, so that they may assist others if needed.

I support 100% mod's that infract me for something that I do that is wrong, but when it comes to completely stupid infractions for something that is completely ridiculous then it makes people mad. Also, the "government / people" remember what the certain person was like BEFORE being a mod, so that has a huge impact. Not mentioning any names, but one of the mods would CONSTANTLY flame people on the Sythe's faces thread. How ironic is it that he now hands out infractions for flaming?
