lol they ask for maxed accounts to help, 70% of them account would have been botted haha

 

This won't affect the botting population at all, they'll probably get 50-100 bots in 6 hours. If you go to sorc garden area you'll find 50+ people in one world... This is more of a publicity stunt so people know they're trying to stop botting. Perm banning 100 people and letting thousands of other suiciding gold farmers get away with just temp bans isn't solving the problem.

Hmm what do you think counts as a hotspot? Runecrafting?

 

do u think they will just go to the classic wcers,miners etc or combat training on monsters. i know soulwars would be looked at but lets be honest jagex needs money. they will ban a minimal amount of bots. also if they did a mass ban on soul wars they would have messed up that mini game. we depend on botters to even out teams...

p.s when is this happening gmt time?

Lol. The way I see it this really IS the most effective thing Jagex can do to deal with their botting problem.
Except the fact that the Jmods they are sending are worthless. I don't see them sending members of their team as that strange or a waste of effort/time. The jagex team nowadays is huge, and i'm sure there are people wasting their time with less important tasks over there. Stuff like making new looks for trees and organising events with fluffy worms and chatting with rs players. Botting is atm the biggest problem/ thread to rs, so they should pay way more attention to it.

Anyway, they'll only catch the throwaway bots and 24/7 idiots, creating some space on their crowded servers. Not a problem to me
