    Nile is Death Metal, but As Blood Runs Black is shitty Deathcore. You were comparing and contrasting the two, correct?

    obviously love it from my avy, lol I enjoy most forms of metal and sub genre's etc. don't much care too much for grindcore though.

    I always considered CoB Melodic Death, but now I do think about it they do sound a little like Power Metal with harsh vocals.

    Still, CoB is officially Melo-death.

    Of all the bands you named, the only one(and a half) you named that have skill are BTBAM and Mushroomhead. Slipknot ripped off Mushroomhead. Dragonforce faked their way to mainstreamness. Atreyu just fucking sucks.

    +1[ish] -- BTBAM is progressive death metal, IMO.

    Don't listen to death metal. It is fucking creepy in my opinion.
    I don't see how it is even a genre of music. I'm sorry thats my brutally honest opinion.
    I have heard of Slayer, Gogoroth and Mayhem though..
