what do you think?

am I getting better or worse?

I'm just trying new things.

Other then the fact that your pulling these sigs out of your ass fast as hell, they look nicem this one might be a little overdone though, i cant tell what anything is tbh.

Yes, a good hour to make a sexy sig

Too much of one color, the shadows are too strong in 3 of the corners. It looks like render is on the beach, which doesn't fit the overall theme

Leave the color of the render, maybe adjust the colors, but don't make them the same as the background. Have the c4d/brushes in the background be a different color, same color scheme, and make a background rather than a stock.

6/10

Ok good advice but how the hell would it take me an hour what would I have to do stare at it for 10 minutes, do something, and stare at it for 10 minutes again?

To make a sig I am 100% happy with takes up to an hour, once I know exactly how I'm going to approach it. Initial brainstorm and experimenting isn't included.

Making sigs is more than just taking a render, adding some brushes and C4D's. There's lighting, shadows, depth, perspective, and focal's to account for.

So the big things to worry about in a sig are

  • Render
  • Background
  • Text
  • Accents to the render/background (C4D's/Brushes/Pen Tooling/etc.)
  • Render-Background distinction, while retaining depth and clarity
  • Color palette, you need a couple of "base" colors, and then have several variations of those colors, and use them throughout the signature. Obviously this doesn't apply all the time
After all those things are accounted for and tweaked to your liking, it takes about an hour.

As xsafire said, you need base colors. There's this awesome site that can help you find colors that go well together: http://www.colorjack.com/sphere/

Pretty good, keep practicing.

Thanks a bunch for your tips and the color go together site very helpful thank you I will try to make a sig that you like for once haha
