We're having a dispute.

Here's what happened:

I agreed on $750 WU for an account with blue phat and 180m on it.

We both agreed.

I added him to the jag.

He takes 10 minutes to sell the blue, for max cash and shards. Then he sold the shards in taverly. by the time he gets to lumby, boom, 3-4 offences of Macroing (goldfarming) on the account with a perma ban, he's saying he used a vpn but I guarantee he slipped up and used a red flagged IP.

So now he's saying its my fault there's nothing he can do about it blah blah, so I asked Snow Patrol and he said technically since I did give my end of the deal he should be paying me.

To further clarify what happened (per request):

-Traxar agreed to sell a Blue Partyhat + 180m RSGP to R2P for $750 via WU
-Traxar gave the account info to R2P, R2P logged into Traxar's account and sold the Blue Partyhat for RSGP + Shards
-Account got banned shortly after R2P exchanged the Shards for RSGP
-Both parties agree on what happened, but disagree on who's shoulders the loss should be on.

 

Quite simple, if R2P was in control of the goods, he received his end of the deal and has to pay.

Didn't completely read what he posted, I assume we both have the same stories with different connotation.

Basically, the deal was for a Blue Phat + 180M. I was planning to use his account to xfer the gold to my buyers. Logged in with a safe VPN, sold the Blue Phat for 66M Shards and 2147M. As I teleport from Taverley to Lumby (sold Shards for GP), the char was banned. Total time I had on the character was <10 mins.

Bans were for:

- Macroing
- Macroing
- Macroing (Goldfarming)

I did not change PW to account, it was still registered under his email. I had no way to change the PW. He insisted a sale for the Phat, wouldn't sell it himself for gold. Once again, I never even had the opportunity to get any GP off his account, it was banned literally within 10 minutes.

1. You got to Taverly and sold the shards. It was when you teleported to lumbridge you got banned.

That's my opinion on it.

 

I agree with Corey/Roary on this one. You should of never agreed to login to the account without taking the risk unless you told the seller he would be held responsible if anything happened.

 

We are claiming that I was taking the risk of his account being banned during the trade. This was never discussed prior to me logging into the account. Neither of us set a ground rule for what happens if the char is banned before it was possible to xfer the gold.

Because no such agreement was discussed, I don't see how I could possibly be fully accountable for the loss. It was a freak situation and the right thing to do is for us both to accept split responsibility for the ban. If the situation were reversed, and a buyer came here after I gave him account with 4B on it and it was banned nearly instantaneously, I can guarantee the staff would not expect him to be paying full price.

Furthermore, this entire investigation depends on unsuccessful appeals for account restoration. Based on the fact that no gold left the account's inventory, I assume there must be a valid chance at getting unbanned. The VPN I used to access the account continues to be used for my RS2007 char with 0 Jagex activity on that character.

 

I would pay full price if it was my fault.

Why can't you take responsibility for this? Even admins have said it. It was your fault and you need to pay.

I'll be expecting my $750 WU.

And he has now gone to the liberty of editing all his previous sythe posts with his old contact information. Fortunately, I took screenshots.

Few notes on what the mods have said:

- This account was in my possession for under 9 minutes total
- Not 1 GP made it off the account before it was insta-banned
- His current Skype name is "Rooted.exe"

 

My past has nothing to do with what you're trying to do to me.

I've never partook in any hacking activities, sure I was part of the community just for friends.

I edited the information in my threads because it was old and outdated.

Let me just say what you're trying to do to some new person to Sythe is fucked and your a piece of work, my man.

Basically speaking, the guy should be happy taking a split on the item considering how it transpired. Instead, he wants me to shoulder the full loss without him accepting any responsibility. From my basic searches so far it's quite obvious he is deeply ingrained in the hacking community and that this Phat is likely stolen property.

If he had said something like "You are fully responsible once you get on the account" before we traded, that'd be a different story. Neither of outlined the responsibility in this situation. The only reason I hopped on his char was to decrease the risk of the trade. By not having it in my possession I could mitigate some of the risk in the deal. I wouldn't take a Blue Phat otherwise.

 

Yes I was part of the community, you have no proof of me preforming any blackhat activity, plus past is past and you're trying to blackmail, isnt that a rule? Should be.

Traxar's account with gold has been recovered and unbanned by him, in game, he has control. Nothing is missing.

I owe $750 USD to Traxar for 3980M.

I will also never be using this method to trade on EOC again in the future, seeing the problems it caused.

 

As of now im delivering the gold to his buyers and 3b has been traded off so far.
