A new bow has made its way to RuneScape from the shadowy dimension of the dark beasts. These dark bows are strange and dangerous weapons, designed to shoot two arrows at a time, even with the most powerful arrows. Its mysterious special attack deals massive damage, which is even more powerful if you use it with dragon arrows.

Dark bows can only be obtained from the dark beasts that lurk along the path to the Light Temple. Although it requires a level 90 Slayer to take on a dark beast, level 60 rangers can use these tradeable dark bows. The dark bow is also the only bow that can fire dragon arrows!

You also now have access to a new cavern where eight more dark beasts lurk, just at the start of the Light Temple path.

900 threads, and this is the first one ive seen :S bleh mayb i shud look more, but hey thats cool.. i dont range, but that double arrows thing sounds dealy :S ahhh range now owns dds? hope not :S but if rune arrows can do 20+ and 20+ ina spec.. imagine... Dragon arrows, with an EVEN BETTER bow.. with double arrows -.- omg.. kill frenzy too bad ma range sucks.. and the bow is guna be soooo expensive at first eh, anyone know the pricing>?

 

Its called sarcasm as their has been many posts about the new release. Arrows are like 10k each and dark bows are around 10m.

 

Wow What I've Seen The New Bow Is Very Vicious In Damage Wise But Iv'e Seen Bows Go For 2mill And Some People Have Bought For 500k

 

The bow is a killer bow.. saw sumone hit 37-36 on youtube. just check it its insane with the arrows -.0

 

max spec i've done is 37, 32 i've heard you can do double 40 tho.
my spec was wth 99 range prayed and potted.

 

I have a feeling mages are screwed with this...

Hopefully they will come out with some better things for mages.

And as for the Dark Bow sales: prices are very unstable right now since the new release, so watch how much you buy it for as it could drop a good bit the very next day.

 

id say theyll go down to 1.5m. i say this as abby demons r lvl 87 slayer needed (i think...) and dark beasts r 90 slayer needed. but dark bows are a more common drop then whips so ppl will be desprate to sell and sell for 1.5m and then prices go down... thats how it works... if sum1 is selling 5m glorys for 10k ea glorys will go down fast.

 

Ive heard rumors of 45-45.

Rangers are going to own the wildy now, but not to many people will use the bow right now because of the price of them.

Such a waste of money to buy this currently. Arrows are expensive as hell and bows are too. Wait a few weeks for massive price drops.

The new bow isn't worth it. When my main gets 90 slayer (3 more levels) I will have a drop party and get 10 Dark Bows and give them to people who break rule # 1 by spaming offensive languages and sexual abuse in runescape own falador/camelot/ varrock park.

 

IMO, Rangers were the most underpowered of all. And the dark bow is not that good, its way too slow to pk with. and when you use it people safe as soon as you do 20 damage on them...
Also following a tradition jagex will most likely degrade its spec in next weeks update as a hidden update, they won't say anything about it, but it will happen its what they did with mauls and whips.

Also i bought my dark bow and then sold it after 3 hours of pking. Bought for 4.5 sold for 4.7

Another interesting fact is that you can do instant k0's with it. Ice Burst then Dark Bow spec, if you're lucky enough you will get good hits and k0.
