I got scammed but now have his ip

hey guys i was on my pure when i saw my main log in. i was like wtf so i tried to log in but it said you were already logged in. when i finally logged into the account he had stolen over 30m in cash and items. But now i have this pricks ip address. if theres anyone here who can help me out with payback please pm me and we can work something out.

also if anyone wants to give some rsgp donations to help me get back on my feet i would appreciate it

 

I'm sorry. We are not allowed to do anything illegal with his IP. That's against the Sythe rules.

Exactly, which is why Sythe perm bans all Scammers/stealers.

Put it this way, you can do some things with an IP, but it's limited, conditional, and a waste of your time.

The best you'd want to do is google IP Tracer and type it in there to see where he lives.

he lives in Astoria in United States, i live in australia, cant do much about it :S

the thing is i dont know if hes from sythe because i just randomly got hacked into, i didnt tell anyone my password

 

If you have the proof, get him banned. Don't resort to illegal activities to counter him.

 

You most likely got phished, or keylogged.

Download something called Malwarebytes, you might be surprised.

But as Punchy said, just msg a Mod the IP of the person who hacked you. You might wanna say something along the lines of:

I got hacked by this IP, but have no proof so just letting you know to watch that guy.

 

well theres no real way to prove it? i could take a photo of the last login from his adress but apart even that is not really evidence

 

If you have the IP stored, show it to a mod, and get them to run an IP check, it won't be enough to ban him, but surely put an eye on him. Don't do anything illegal with his IP, even though he stole, two wrongs don't make a right.

 

Careful, your pure might get hacked too... you probably clicked onto something malicious ( its almost impossible to guess a password.. )

 

You can't do anything with an IP other than ddos. Just cut your losses and learn from your mistakes

 

okay guys i cooled down and im not looking for revenge anymore, thanks for your advice and i'll just get on with it and start making my money back, if theres anyone willing to donate i would appreciate it greatly

Whatever you do on your own time is none of our business provided you do not act as representatives of Sythe.org.

 

Additionally if you do attempt to DDoS or hack this individual, it will count as an off-site offence and you can/will be banned.
